Age (approx):
6 years old
Birthday (approx):
March 4, 2014
What am I?
Neutered male Siberian Husky
Colors:
Black & white, bi-eyed (one blue eye, one brown eye)
Weight:
40 pounds (as of 4/3/20)
Experience with Children:
There is a 3-yr-old child in my foster home. She is my most favorite person in the whole wide world.
Experience with Cats:
After I was rescued and before I came to Pet Harbor, I was introduced to cats in my temporary foster home. All of those interactions were positive. Siberian Huskies tend to have a strong prey instinct and often show extreme, even fatal, aggression towards cats. Even if our evaluation is favorable, it may not translate to all cats under all circumstances.
Experience with Dogs:
My experience is I get along great with other dogs, despite size & gender differences. In my foster home, the other dog is a pretty bossy lady. I bow to her. The best home for me will have another dog.
Energy Level:
Medium
Owner Aptitude Level:
Northern breed experience preferred
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for John Dennis Levi.
History:
Along with several others available for adoption, we came from a horrible beginning, yet are amazingly grateful for love. Thankfully, we were seized by the authorities. Our humans were put in jail. We went to the shelter, then the SPCA, and then came to Pet Harbor, each an important piece of our journey to safety. Read more about our beginning, including watching a video, at https://www.wcnc.com/article/life/animals/25-huskies-recovering-after-living-in-awful-conditions/275-0ff0da89-97fb-472e-a7be-afc6d28b58bc. At about 1:58 in the video, you will see me standing next to the lady & dog in the chair.
Movies:
  1. 4/5/20 – Prancing!
  2. 4/18/20 – A Brand New Day when I show interest in a toy
  3. 4/18/20 – Did someone mention treats?
  4. 4/5/20 – Running Free!

More About Me: What an ideal time for me to be looking for a home. They tell me I can’t go to school with children, something about only lambs can go to Mary’s school. Since I can’t go to school with them, what a wonderful thing schools are closed! I adore children. I don’t go up to grownups for love, but I let them come to me with love. If you read about my beginnings, you will understand why. Children, however, steal my heart. I do go to them, seeking out love from them. The other leftover from my beginnings is sometimes I spin, chasing my tail. Well, living in a crate, one has to learn to creative ways to pass the time. That crate life is probably why I love the great outdoors as well. Like most of the dogs Pet Harbor has from the same beginning, I find solace with other dogs. I’m not a fan of bones, balls, or toys. Cheap date, huh? So if you have a bit of patience, one or more child(ren), one or more dog(s), maybe a dog bed, and some good walking/running shoes, let’s go home.
