Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children up to age 7. I have been great with them and give them gentle kisses. And they adore me. They say I’m loads of fun.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met several kitties. I have been as playful with them as I am with dogs. Then on 12/21, I met 2 5-mo-old kittens. I was very focused on them and tried to bite both of them. Then I saw an older cat. The cat swatted me eight times. I did not react. On 12/22, I again met the kittens and again tried to bite. Then I again saw the bigger, lazier kitty. I again did not react.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor was told I am fine with other dogs. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met several dogs, all bigger than I am. I have been playful with all of them. I try to play with everyone – dogs, cats, children, grownups. 12/30/2020, I met a Chihuahua. I was curious and friendly with him. I was easily distracted, but I did think he was a cute little thing. When he snarled at me, I backed away, though.

High
Owner Aptitude Level:
Young Northern breed experience preferred
Named for 9/11 Victim:

History:
I was put into an animal shelter by my former humans, who said they did not have time for me. From there, I came to Pet Harbor.

Pet Harbor was told I am playful with other dogs but guard my possessions against them. Since coming to Pet Harbor, all interactions with other dogs have been great. No negative behavior has been seen at all. 12/30/2020, I met a Chihuahua. I was curious and friendly with him. When he snarled at me, I backed away and moved on to people. Coming soon!

More About Me: Some things you should understand about me – because of my background, new people and environments make me nervous. I try to get away. If I’m on a leash, I will pull you. And let me tell you I am super strong. On the flip side, I absolutely am super sweet and totally adore children. Also, I weighed 45 pounds on 12/11/2020. Either the scales weren’t accurate or I wouldn’t stand still because I am closer to the 60 pounds I weighed on 11/23.

Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor was told I have never met cats. On 12/12/2020, Pet Harbor introduced me to cats. I was curious, but once I got a few sniffs, I was easily distracted. A dog walked into the room. My focus left the cats and went straight to the dog, enticing her to play. While Pet Harbor would still exercise caution, they believe I probably can live safely with kitties. On 12/30/2020, Pet Harbor introduced me again to cats. I spent a lot of time sniffing them. When one of them growled and then lunged at me, I cowered. But then he ran. I gave chase. When he got out of the range of my leash, I went to another kitty and sniffed some more.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor was told the only dogs I’ve known are Jacob (also available for adoption) and Jagoda (who found his home already) and that I’m great with them. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met several dogs, all around my size. All interactions are positive. 12/30/2020, I met a Chihuahua. I was curious and friendly with him. I was more interested in making sure all the people petted me, but I did also try to get the Chihuahua to play. When he snarled at me, I backed away.
