History:
I had a wonderful home with a mom, dad, and a Siberian “brother” named Dante (Pet Harbor’s Saint), also available for adoption. Then my dad suddenly was taken from us. He died in a car crash. My mom loves us, but it’s a struggle for her to survive herself, much less take care of us.

More About Me: Never having met a stranger, I am everyone’s friend. And talk. Yes, I talk. I am a chatterbox, they say. I will sometimes talk your ear off with what I have to say. Once you give me attention, I will promptly roll over for belly rubs. I have also learned that a crossed leg means an open foot for pets. I know commands for sit & down by hand gesture and talk, wait, and dance. True to my breed, though, if there’s an open door, I’m gone on the first thing smokin’. If there is no door open, I’ll try to push one open! Since I don’t play Monopoly and I sometimes need a “Get Out of Jail Free!” card, I will lay my head on your leg as an attempt to get said card. The way to my heart is through popcorn and smoothies, and my favorite vegetable is summer squash.

Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Fitz Roy St. Rose.
History:
I was purchased as a pup by a young person who didn’t do his homework on the breed. Siberian Huskies are not the dogs for everyone. Then I came to Pet Harbor. Then I got adopted. I had a wonderful home since 2011 with a mom, dad, and a Siberian “sister” named Isis, also available for adoption. Then my dad suddenly was taken from us. He died in a car crash. My mom loves us, but it’s a struggle for her to survive herself, much less take care of us.

More About Me:

  • My bio from 2011: For a one-year-old Siberian, I’m a really good boy. Don’t get me wrong. I do have energy & will run & play & will pick up things in my mouth that I shouldn’t, but some less mannered Siberians will have outside energy inside. I don’t. I am very good. I like to say I am the best! When you first meet me, I will have a touch of uncertainty, nervousness, but that will quickly dissipate, especially if you have some juicy treats for me. I then will shower you with the most gentle of kisses! And I love toys, especially the soft kind. I love going to dog parks & LOVE other Siberian Huskies! I do guard possessions (toys, bones) against them, esp. male dogs. Isn’t that what all good men do? I also love to get tangled in wires and curl up under your legs. My foster dad thinks I’m entertainment plus. He gets a big kick out of how when I want to be petted, I stand next to him and flare my nose. If you need some laughter, I’m ready for your house!
  • My bio from 2019: My claim to fame is I have the pout perfected, even including a lower lip poking out. The way to my heart is through popcorn and smoothies, and my favorite vegetable is snap peas. I may seem a tad shy at first, but I quickly warm up. I enjoy belly rubs from the side. I won’t roll over on my back. That’s not dignified enough for me. If there’s an open door, I may run at first just to prove I am a Siberian, but once I realize you aren’t with me, I lose interest. I know the commands sit & down by hand gestures and talk, wait, and up. Isis & I do not have to share the same home. Oh, and if you don’t like brushing dogs, we’re in business because I hate that stuff, too.

What am I?
Spayed female Siberian Husky
Colors:
Black & white, blue eyes
Weight:
49 pounds (as of 6/20/19)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I’ve met various children of elementary age and younger. I adore the children I live with in my foster home, and they adore me.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. On 6/6/19, Pet Harbor performed a test for cat-friendliness. When the first cat approached me, I backed away.  When the second cat approached me, I ignored kitty.  When that cat walked away, I followed.  There was no negative interaction.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with other dogs. I passed my dog-dog tests. I have interacted with the dogs in my foster home in only a positive fashion.
Energy Level:
High
Owner Aptitude Level:
Young Northern breed experience preferred

What am I?
Spayed female Siberian Husky
Colors:
Black & white woolly, blue eyes
Weight:
45 pounds (as of 5/2/19)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children of all ages and have let them pet me, tell me commands, and give me treats. I’ve even rolled over so they could scratch my belly.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. Pet Harbor has not yet performed a test for cat-friendliness. When more information is known, it will be posted here.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with other dogs. When I was tested with another dog during my temperament test, I mostly exhibited play mode. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have interacted with dogs around my size without incident, but I seem to prefer the company of humans. I do mingle with the other dogs, but I haven’t yet played with them.
