Age:
1 year old
Birthday:
August 12, 2021
What am I?
Neutered male Siberian husky
Colors:
Red & white, one blue eye, one parti eye (both blue & brown in the same eye)
Weight:
46 pounds (as of 12/9/2022)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children up to age 9 and have been great with them.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor was told I am great with cats. On Dec 11, 2022, I was introduced to cats by Pet Harbor. I was completely unfazed by them. A different story when it came to bunnies, but the cats I ignored. Siberian huskies tend to have a strong prey instinct and often show extreme, even fatal, aggression towards cats. Even if Pet Harbor’s evaluation is favorable, it may not translate to all cats under all circumstances.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor was told I am great with dogs, including small dogs. The best home for me will have at least one other dog around my size, my new BFF.
Energy Level:
High
Owner Aptitude Level:
Young Northern breed experience preferred
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Michael J. Berkeley.
History:
Evicted by my family’s landlord, I landed in a county shelter. From there, I came to Pet Harbor.
Movies:
  1. 12/11/2022 – The Gang
  2. 12/11/2022 – Two Littles

More About Me: I have a nickname. It’s Showers. My foster mom says I shower everybody with love and kisses. So she calls me Showers. It makes me think of Rain, and I don’t understand it, but it doesn’t matter what she calls me. I’ll kiss her and love her regardless. I have been great with dogs and cats in my foster home, but I’ll let you in on a little secret. Although I don’t want to live without dogs, the real Valentine for me is people. I am in love with people. Are you my people? Don’t you want Showers?

More About Me: Must. Have. Belly Scratches. So, really, I’m an amazing guy. I have no clue how you could not possibly fall in love with me. The volunteers think I’m super sweet and gentle. In fact, when Pet Harbor was full but a volunteer met me at the shelter, they had to make room for just one more, me, because they feel I am awesome. I am so full of love for everybody. Well, maybe I love kitties in the wrong way, but I love all people and love playing with the dogs I have met. The only possible negative my foster mom can tell you is I countersurf, but I don’t see that as a negative. I mean, somebody has to clean the counters, right?

What am I?
Spayed female Siberian husky
Colors:
Black & white, bi-eyed (one blue eye, one brown eye)
Weight:
63 pounds (as of 8/26/2023)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children prior to coming to Pet Harbor. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children of all ages. Initially, I exhibited a touch of timidity, same as I have with adults, and quickly relaxed. Now since I’ve been in my foster home a while, I’ve been great with all little people, even the tiniest ones learning how to treat dogs.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats prior to coming to Pet Harbor. On 12/19/2022, Pet Harbor introduced me to cats. My reaction was pretty strong and relentless. Pet Harbor discontinued the introduction. On August 3, 2023, Pet Harbor tried again. I failed miserably. Cats are not safe around me.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with dogs prior to coming to Pet Harbor. When evaluated at the shelter before coming to Pet Harbor, I was great with the dogs I met. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have been great with all the dogs I’ve met, from the tiniest of dogs to the biggest of dogs. I play very well with them. In fact, I’d probably be most comfortable in a home with another dog companion for me.
Energy Level:
Medium
Owner Aptitude Level:
Northern breed experience preferred
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Lucia Crifasi.
History:
Running at large, I landed in a county shelter. My humans did not come to look for me. So I came to Pet Harbor.
Movies:
  1. 9/14/2023 – Handbrushing
  2. 9/14/2023 – Wipeout
  3. 9/14/2023 – Recess
  4. 9/8/2023 – This is the Life!
  5. 9/8/2023 – Making Friends
  6. 9/8/2023 – Walking in or on Water?
  7. 9/8/2023 – Best Seat in the House
  8. 9/8/2023 – Time to Get in the Water!
  9. 8/26/2023 – Girls Just Want to Have Fun!
  10. 8/26/2023 – Water Dog
  11. 8/26/2023 – Easy Walker
  12. 2/26/2023 – Socialite
  13. 12/1/2022 – Sit!
  14. 12/1/2022 – Silliness
  15. 12/1/2022 – Toy Time
  16. 12/1/2022 – Peer Play
  17. 12/1/2022 – A Fence Between Us

More About Me: Interestingly, somehow I got tagged at the shelter as a 6yo male. Well, it’s pretty easy to tell I’m a female, and my vet puts me at about age 3. Initially, I have exhibited a touch, just a touch, of timidity around people, but I’ve quickly gotten over it. You’d be shy and confused, too, if you were a girl and somebody gave you the name Lucas and told you you are twice your age. I have some silliness about me. I enjoy running, playing, dancing, and twirling. Are there classes for canine ballerinas? Don’t get me wrong, though. I also enjoy lying calmly on the bed or sofa and watching TV. Anybody making popcorn? I also enjoy, as you can see from the photos, sitting in a fountain full of water. Truth be told, I love water. My favorite things are dogs; lying on a bed, with or without a person; and water, being in water. But what I really am is a good girl who just needs a home where I’ll be loved this time.

More About Me: Though I have been sweet in my foster home, I am also a bit of “shake in my paws” shy. My favorite person in the foster home is the dad. When I’m around him, I forget that I am shy.

More About Me: Really, what my foster family has observed about me can be described in one word: sweetness. I have been kind and gentle to the children and adults, for that matter, in my foster home and have been full of sweetness. I really have been an easy gal. The little girl in my foster home can walk me. You know, I’m one of those you just say, “Awww” when you encounter. I enjoy curling up with my people. Please note I do not have to go to the same family who adopts Virgil. I am my own woman.

More About Me: So probably the word that best fits me is fun. Maybe that’s why I sideline as a clown. I, of course, am all puppy. That will keep you in stitches as it is, but I also would wear a red nose & big, floppy shoes to make you laugh if that’s what it takes. Puppies are carefree and full of antics. That’s me. I’m a mischief-maker, a clown, and irresistible because being a mischief-maker and clown, I aim to make you laugh. So let’s shorten the words and get at the fun!
