I went to my forever home on January 28, 2023!
Age:
1 year old
Birthday:
August 12, 2021
What am I?
Neutered male Siberian husky
Colors:
Red & white, one blue eye, one parti eye (both blue & brown in the same eye)
Weight:
46 pounds (as of 12/9/2022)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children up to age 9 and have been great with them.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor was told I am great with cats. On Dec 11, 2022, I was introduced to cats by Pet Harbor. I was completely unfazed by them. A different story when it came to bunnies, but the cats I ignored. Siberian huskies tend to have a strong prey instinct and often show extreme, even fatal, aggression towards cats. Even if Pet Harbor’s evaluation is favorable, it may not translate to all cats under all circumstances.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor was told I am great with dogs, including small dogs. The best home for me will have at least one other dog around my size, my new BFF.
Energy Level:
High
Owner Aptitude Level:
Young Northern breed experience preferred
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Michael J. Berkeley.
History:
Evicted by my family’s landlord, I landed in a county shelter. From there, I came to Pet Harbor.
Movies:
- 12/11/2022 – The Gang
- 12/11/2022 – Two Littles
More About Me: I have a nickname. It’s Showers. My foster mom says I shower everybody with love and kisses. So she calls me Showers. It makes me think of Rain, and I don’t understand it, but it doesn’t matter what she calls me. I’ll kiss her and love her regardless. I have been great with dogs and cats in my foster home, but I’ll let you in on a little secret. Although I don’t want to live without dogs, the real Valentine for me is people. I am in love with people. Are you my people? Don’t you want Showers?
