What am I?
Spayed female Siberian Husky
Colors:
Black & white, blue eyes
Weight:
48 pounds (as of 8/1/17)
Experience with Children:
My history with children is unknown. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children of all ages. All interactions with them have been positive.
Experience with Cats:
My history with cats is unknown. On 9/5/17, Pet Harbor performed a test for cat-friendliness. I failed miserably. I am unable to live safely with cats or, to be more precise, cats are unable to live safely with me.
Experience with Dogs:
My history with dogs is unknown. Before coming to Pet Harbor, a dog-dog test was performed with another female dog. I initially wagged and showed attention, then ignored the other dog. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have interacted with multiple dogs around my size. Sometimes I interact with them. Sometimes I ignore them and do my own thing. But then I found Wilder, also available for adoption. I decided he is my very best friend. So we play, play, play, and then play some more. Then Jason came. Oh, boy, earrings! We play so much, I can have one boy hanging from each ear like long earrings! It’s all good. It makes my foster mom laugh! Though I love to play, I can be a typical dominant female Siberian Husky. So you can call me the leader of the canine games!
Energy Level:
High
Owner Aptitude Level:
Novice
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Vita Marino.
History:
Some months ago, I was dumped in a shelter because my owner “didn’t have time for” me. I got adopted. Six months later, I was dumped again in the shelter because my owners were “moving.” This time I came to Pet Harbor Rescue.
Movies:
  1. 10/21/17 – Playtime!
  2. 10/28/17 – Jump, jump, jump!
  3. 10/28/17 – Sittin’ pretty.

Dream Home Minimum Requirements: Take time to stop and smell the roses. That’s what I do. I am a happy girl, and I like to take the time to stop and smell the roses. The first thing you will notice about me is how extremely happy I am! Happy, happy, happy! If I actually drew a salary, you could say I’d be a paid researcher. Since no paychecks come my way, you can say I am a volunteer researcher. I volunteer because that’s what I like to do: stop and research the roses and the grass and people and everything in between! All the while, I continue to smile. Seriously, I am a continuously happy girl. I’m a pretty easy keeper. I am pretty strong, but the right kind of collar makes the difference there. I have lots of love and soft kisses in me looking for someone to receive them. If you adopt Wilder or Jason or have a similar dog, that dog will be my very best friend. Otherwise I’ll be focused on the people. Either way is perfectly fine with me. In either case, I will never stop being happy. So how about it? Want to share your life with an easy and happy girl who likes to stop and smell the roses and will shower you with more love, kisses, and happiness than you ever thought possible? If so, let’s dance!

Weight:

Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. At Pet Harbor, I have met an infant and a toddler so far. I wag and try to play with them.
Experience with Cats:
My history with cats is unknown. Pet Harbor performed a test for cat-friendliness. I completely ignored the cats.
Experience with Dogs:
My history with dogs is unknown. When dog-dog tests were performed at the shelter with other dogs, I wagged and jumped to entice play. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have been the center of the party. I play with all of the dogs (They’re my size or bigger.) all the time. I am having a blast!

Owner Aptitude Level:
Northern breed experience preferred
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Brooke David Rosenbaum.
History:
Running at large, I landed in an animal shelter. No one claimed me. So I came to Pet Harbor.
Movies:
  1. 8/18/17 – Wiggle waggle! Let’s play!

Dream Home Minimum Requirements: Snuggle bunny is a good description of me. With people, I am a snuggler. With dogs, I am a player – the good kind of player! My favorite game to play with other dogs is the Deer Leap. If you are looking for a dog who likes to snuggle and play with other dogs, you have found her. Oh, also get this. Here is why I like to play Deer Leap. I actually am deer-friendly. There are photos to prove that deer don’t hold my attention. Who can imagine that? I am a good backseat driver, too. I actually sit quietly and watch out the window unless you want to let me drive, but you need to remember I do not have a driver’s license. It sounds like I’m a super easy dog, doesn’t it? So why does this say Northern breed experience is best for me? It is because some Siberians get fussy when you touch certain parts of us. Because I am one of those Siberians, an experienced human or humans would be best for me. Other than that, I am super easy. So how about it? Why don’t you pop some popcorn, put in a movie, and snuggle with me?
