What am I?
Spayed female Siberian Husky
Colors:
Black & white, blue eyes
Weight:
43 pounds (as of 10/20/18)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children ages 5 and under. I am great with them, and I adore them.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. Pet Harbor performed a brief initial evaluation for cat-friendliness, and I didn’t show aggression. On 8/26/18, I was given a more in-depth evaluation for cat-friendliness and did not respond well. I cannot live with cats.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with dogs. I showed no aggression during my dog-friendliness evaluation. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have gotten along fabulously with all the dogs I have met. There is one grumpy old female who always tries to pick fights with me. I run from her.
Energy Level:
High
Owner Aptitude Level:
Novice
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Shelley A. Marshall.
History:
For the crime of running at large, I landed in an animal shelter. From there, I came to Pet Harbor Rescue.
Movies:
  1. 9/15/18 – Lap Dog!
  2. 9/3/18 – I give infinite toddler kisses!

More About Me: Sweetness.  I am a cutie patootie.  There are two things I need in my new house:  (a) a place to plant kisses & (b) groceries.  I don’t eat much, and I burn it off faster than I take it in!  And I am a doll who loves to kiss. My foster mom thinks the most beautiful sight in the world is me running, “Run, Shelley, run!” Breathtaking. Of course, those times are rare because I spend most of my time kissing and expressing my love for all mankind.

Age:

Birthday:
December 25, 2013
What am I?
Neutered male Siberian Husky
Colors:
White, blue eyes
Weight:
57 pounds (as of 8/9/18)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor was told I lived with children of all ages & had only positive interactions with them, that, in fact, I “enjoyed being with” them. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children up to age 5. I am unsure why I’m being shuffled around at this point. I’ve only been with Pet Harbor since 8/9/18.  So I haven’t quite relaxed yet, but when the children allowed me to come to them, I gave them soft, easy kisses. When they rushed me, however, I tried to back away. Once I settle in, things may be different.
Experience with Cats:
I am homeless because of my negative interaction with a kitty. I cannot live with kitties.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor was told I lived with dogs of all sizes & only had negative reactions to intact ones. (I was also intact.) I showed no aggression during my dog-friendliness evaluations with both male & female dogs. I am brand new to Pet Harbor and have no negative interactions with the dogs I have met so far, though I have mostly ignored them.
Energy Level:
Medium
Owner Aptitude Level:
Northern breed experience preferred
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Bella J. Bhukhan.
History:
Because I rid the world of a feral cat, I landed in an animal shelter. From there, I came to Pet Harbor Rescue.
Movies:
  1. 9/3/18 – I give the best toddler kisses!
  2. 8/11/18 – Even dogs can take selfies!
  3. 8/11/18 – What, pray tell, are you?
  4. 8/11/18 – Oh, how I love to run, run, run!
  5. 8/10/18 – Short & Sweet!
  6. 8/08/18 – Dogs are okay, but people are better!

More About Me: Mostly laidback, I seem to adapt to most anything. I want to spend my time with people. If you are quiet & laidback, that’s what I’ll tend to be. If you are running and wanna play, I’ll be all about that, too. What does that tell you? It tells me I’m a pretty easy keeper. So how about it? Wanna run & play with me or pet me and let me give you soft kisses? Either way, I’m down with that!

Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children of all ages. I show exuberant adoration toward them. I do express displeasure when children or dogs come near my food or water while I’m partaking.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor was told I chased cats, horses, and chickens in my most recent home. Therefore, it is assumed I cannot live with cats. Since Pet Harbor won’t let me live with kitties anyway, they have not performed an evaluation for cat-friendliness.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor was told I lived with small dogs in my most recent home (less than a week) but that I played rough with them. I showed no aggression during my dog-friendliness evaluations. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have mostly ignored other dogs, but I did have playmates at my foster home, both neutered males & spayed females, with energy levels similar to mine. I now am fostered with Stacey, also available for adoption. I tried to court her for the longest time. She was a tough cookie. She played hard to get as if she invented that game. My suaveness broke her. She and I are now “in a relationship,” and it no longer is complicated.

Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Benjamin Walker.
History:
For the crime of running at large, I landed in an animal shelter. I then got adopted. After scaling a 5′ fence, I was returned to the shelter. From there, I came to Pet Harbor Rescue.
Movies:
  1. 10/20/18 – Obedience
  2. 10/20/18 – Children in the Act
  3. 10/20/18 – My Buddy & Me
  4. 9/3/18 – Sweet Kisses
  5. 8/5/18 – Enjoying my people time!
  6. 8/11/18 – As Close to You as I can Possibly Get!
  7. 8/11/18 – C’mon! Let’s Go!

More About Me: Love to run. Love to snuggle. I’m a beautiful runner, with head held high; a big, beautiful smile on my face; and tall-stepping legs. The person at the end of my leash, however, needs to be strong enough to hold on tight or use the right kind of collar for me! Sporting a Herm Sprenger collar, I am easily walked. But about running, if you try playing Catch Me If You Can with me. I will win the race every time! Exuberant. That’s a word for me. I’m totally full of exuberance. When someone walks into the room, I will be extremely happy to see them! I will make them believe they are the love of my life. That brings me to my other love: snuggle. I love people. I must be close to you. I will lean into you or belly up for you or whatever it takes to get your attention. If you sit on a couch, I’ll sit on the couch looking for love. If you lie down, I will jump up on the bed with you to get close. If you’re standing at the stove cooking, I’ll lay down right behind you so I can be close. And if there is no person around, I will find some inanimate object and pretend it’s a person! I really love people, and I must make them know they are loved. So if you are ready for some snuggles & muscle-building, I’m ready for you!
