What am I?
Neutered male Siberian husky
Colors:
Red & white, blue eyes
Weight:
50 pounds (approx)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children up to age 7 and have been great with them. I am all puppy and can run at younger children, knocking them down.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. On June 10, Pet Harbor introduced me to cats. My focus and interest started pretty lax, but when a cat ran, my focus was strong and unbreakable. For kitty safety, Pet Harbor will not place me in a home with cats.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with dogs. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met several dogs. I have been great with all of them. They have all been around my size.
Energy Level:
High
Owner Aptitude Level:
Young Northern breed experience preferred
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Brendan Mark Lang.
History:
My “owners” put me in an animal shelter because of divorce. From there, I came to Pet Harbor.
Movies:
  1. 7/16/2021 – Hugs
  2. 7/16/2021 – Easy Play

More About Me: More info to come. My coat is sun-bleached. It will take some time out of sunlight for me to have a good coat. I am all puppy. Comical and sweet. And when I say, “sweet,” I am as sweet as the day is long.

Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children up to age 14 and have been great with them. I even sleep with one of the children, uncrated, without any issues. So far, I haven’t given kisses, but once I’m more sure of things, that may happen.
Experience with Cats:
I am homeless because I ended the life of a neighbor’s cat. Kitties are not safe around many Siberian huskies, including me.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor was told I lived with another dog. I did well at the shelter with other dogs. In my foster home, things have been great with the other dogs & me. Male and female Siberian huskies live in my foster home. I even play with one of them.
Energy Level:
Low
Owner Aptitude Level:
Novice
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Michael L. Selves.
History:
My “owners” put me in an animal shelter because I ended the life of a neighbor’s cat. I was pretty matted. Sadly, I am now shaved. Please don’t shave Siberian huskies. Shaving can cause them many issues. From the shelter, I came to Pet Harbor.

Coming soon!

More About Me: More info to come. I am a sweetheart, but I have a bit of shyness, probably because I don’t understand why I lost my home & family when all I did is be true to my breed.

Siberian huskies can be pretty dramatic. Things I have made clear are my dislike of crates, being pulled by my collar, and wearing an Elizabethan collar. I was making a sore bleed by licking it. Yes, I’m going to the vet in a few days. My foster parents put the “cone of shame” on me, and I have shunned them since. The look on my face towards them is priceless!

My foster family picked Michael Selves to be the 9/11 victim for whom I was named. What an honor. He sure sounds like a great, great man. However, Pet Harbor pronounces my name like Elvis because I have these sideburns that remind everybody of The King. However, I am much more than a hound dog.
