What am I?
Spayed female Siberian husky
Colors:
Black & white, bi-eyed (one blue eye, one brown eye)
Weight:
43 pounds (as of 10/12/2023)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children prior to coming to Pet Harbor. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have not yet met children. When more information is learned, it will be posted here.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats prior to coming to Pet Harbor. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have not yet been introduced to cats. When more information is learned, it will be posted here. Siberian huskies tend to have a strong prey instinct and often show extreme, even fatal, aggression towards cats. Even if Pet Harbor’s evaluation is favorable, it may not translate to all cats under all circumstances.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor was told I came from a home with at least one other dog, a female Siberian. After I raised my puppies, I became and am now a playful young Siberian myself with other dogs.
Energy Level:
Medium
Owner Aptitude Level:
Info to come
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Walter A. Matuza, Jr..
History:
Running at large, in September of 2022, along with another dog, I landed in a city animal shelter. My owners retrieved us. In July of 2023, again running at large, I landed in the same shelter, this time alone. My owners were notified and did not retrieve me. I was transferred to Pet Harbor, where we await the arrival of my puppies.

More About Me: I’m kind of like a college grraduate who asks, “Now what?” I came to Pet Harbor pregnant. I had my six puppies. An outstanding mom, I raised them and sent them on their way to new families. Now I have become a puppy myself. Happiness, playfulness, and love. I snuggle up to my foster mom, play with dogs, people, toys, whatever, whoever will play. I’m sweet, a food critic, smarter than you are (Try giving me meds or a bath.), and like a brand new puppy myself. So since my puppies all found homes, isn’t it my turn? Why is mama always last? Maybe I’m waiting for you?

More About Me: Siberians are working dogs. Every working dog needs an occupation. I have a few. My main one is as a guide. When the grass is cut at my foster home, I walk beside the mower and guide it. My second important job is as a babysitter. My foster brother needs a babysitter. Well, not really. He’s not bad, but he gets afraid when there are storms and things. So I keep him distracted by playing with him incessantly. It’s a tough job, but somebody’s got to do it. My third occupation is quality control. When the refrigerator is open, I check out its contents to be sure there are no issues. I may randomly taste test, but good luck getting me to admit it (burp). My final job is that of a lover. It is my job to give you hugs and kisses. Well, at least that’s the experience in my foster home. Hopefully, I will be the same with you. I’m told dogs act differently in different environments, but the way I see things, if you have a lawnmower and a refrigerator, the environments are equivalent.
