I went to my forever home on July 20, 2024!
Age (approx):
3 years old
Birthday (approx):
October 6, 2020
What am I?
Spayed female Siberian husky
Colors:
Black & white wooly, blue eyes
Weight:
53 pounds (as of 4/7/2024)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I’ve met children up to age 10. I’ve been great with them.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. On 11/12/2023, Pet Harbor introduced me to kitties. I sniffed and then ignored. On 7/17/2024, Pet Harbor redid my intro to kitties. It failed miserably. The kitty was not physically harmed, but I did attempt to do just that. I cannot life with cats.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with dogs except that I was great with them when evaluated in a shelter before coming to Pet Harbor. (See video.) Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met several Siberian huskies. After initial shock the first few minutes, I’ve been good. Sometimes I get grumbly with them. I really don’t play with them much. I seem to prefer the company of humans!
Energy Level:
Medium-High
Owner Aptitude Level:
Novice
History:
Running at large, I landed in an animal shelter. From there, I came to Pet Harbor. At some point in my history, I was shaved. Please don’t shave Siberian huskies.
More About Me: Smiles and love. Honestly, those two words describe me to a T. I always smile, and I always love. What more could you possibly want? Oh, wait. The children in my foster home asked me to be sure to tell you, even though my energy level might be considered medium-high, I am really gentle with them. They love me. Before coming to Pet Harbor, an animal shelter kept me alive longer than usual because the volunteers could tell what a great dog I am. Now I wait for someone else to realize it and become my new family. As a wooly Siberian, it is important you understand my grooming needs. Many Siberians dislike being groomed. I am fine except when you take that brush near my hocks. Then it’s on!
