Age:
4 years old
Birthday:
September 13, 2021
What am I?
Spayed female Siberian husky
Colors:
Black & white, blue eyes
Weight:
52 pounds (as of 9/13/2025)
Experience with Children:
I’m wonderfully gentle and loving with all the children I’ve met.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor was told my history with cats is unknown. On 9/25/2025, I was introduced to cats and showed immediate interest in them. While I was gentle and didn’t try to harm them, I was very focused on their movements and wanted to investigate up close. Pet Harbor would recommend that if I live with cats, my interactions with them would be supervised. Siberian huskies tend to have a strong prey instinct and often show extreme, even fatal, aggression towards cats. Even if Pet Harbor’s evaluation is favorable, it may not translate to all cats under all circumstances.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor was told my history with dogs is I am great with them, and I’ve proven this true with every dog I’ve met since joining Pet Harbor! I get along wonderfully with both male and female dogs. While I initially missed my foster brother when he found a home, I can be content as either a solo dog or with canine companions. I’d be great for visiting dog parks and would thrive in a multi-dog household, though having doggy friends isn’t absolutely necessary for my happiness.
Energy Level:
Medium
Owner Aptitude Level:
Novice
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Moira Ann Reddy-Smith, the only female police officer who lost her life that tragic day.
History:
I was adopted from an animal shelter to a wonderful mom. Fast forward to July of 2025. My mom was diagnosed with an aggressive terminal cancer. She can’t care for me anymore, and I went to boarding. From there, I came to Pet Harbor. I can’t physically help my mom, but I helped her heart knowing I came to a foster home. I hope to find a home while I can let her know she can stop worrying.

Info to come

More About Me: Well, hello there. A true Southern belle is known for grace, charm, and hospitality, and that describes me to a T. Polite, well-mannered, and trained, it’s as if I graduated from charm school. I wouldn’t dare brag about myself, of course, but I’ve overheard folks say I’m one of the best dogs anyone could welcome into their family.

Life in my foster home is sweet, even with my foster brother, Jasper. He gets a touch jealous when I receive attention, but I handle it with dignity. I simply step back and let him shine. A belle knows when to yield. I spend much of my day inviting Jasper to play. Sometimes he joins in, sometimes not, but I keep my spirits high and my persistence gentle.

If you’re looking for a plug-and-play gentle lady, look no further. You could even call me Scarlett, though I promise not to be Gone with the Wind. A little corny humor comes with the territory, bless my heart.

Are you ready to add a gracious, loving Southern belle to your home? Then, darlin’, you’ve found her!
