I went to my forever home on October 21, 2019!
Age (approx):
2 years old
Birthday (approx):
March 24, 2017
What am I?
Spayed female Siberian Husky
Colors:
Red & white, blue eyes
Weight:
49 pounds (as of 8/31/19)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children, but my prior humans, to whom I belonged 4 months, indicated during that time, I lived with children, ages unknown, and was good with them. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I’ve met children of all ages. All of my interactions with them have been positive. I give kisses!
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats, but my prior humans indicated during the past 4 months, I did not live with cats. On 9/29/19, Pet Harbor introduced me to a cat. While I might be fine with them, the volunteer who did the introduction felt I paid a bit too much attention to the kitty & she did not have an assistant. So she chose not to let me get up close & personal with the kitty. Basically, the jury is still out, and you enter at your own risk or, to be more precise, your kitty enters at his or her own risk.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with other dogs, but my prior humans indicated during the past 4 months, I lived with 3 dogs about 9 pounds each. They indicated I did well with them until they returned me to the shelter because I “played too rough” with them. I do play a lot. In my dog-dog introduction (See video.). I interacted with a female and male dog positively. In foster care, I have interacted with multiple dogs (22 pounds and up). 100% of my interactions with them have been positve. Yes, I play rough. The other dogs in my foster home are Siberian Huskies. So they play rough as well. That’s what Siberians do. So it’s all good. While our observations have been favorable, they may not translate to all dogs under all circumstances.
Energy Level:
High
Owner Aptitude Level:
Northern breed experience preferred
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Sandra Foster.
History:
I was in a county animal shelter, got adopted, then four months later got returned because they said I was “a good dog but keeps going after our 3 Maltese.” From there, I came to Pet Harbor. I was adopted from Pet Harbor and returned, citing issues with the other dog.

More About Me: Oh, boy, can I play! And do I ever! I believe I hold the world’s record for the fastest destruction of a rubber ball ever! Whether Guinness agrees with me or not, I neither know nor care because I can always find another world’s record to win if not that one! I like to pounce, jump, toss, and just be happy. I love to run & play with other dogs, male & female alike. I am a sweetie as well. I might take a kissing break or two, but if I spy a toy, please forgive me if I abandon you in pursuit of tons of fun! Oh, I could stand to lose a few pounds, but, remember, I love running & twirling, a.k.a. calorie burning!
