Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children of various ages. I have been playful with them.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. However, on 1/28/2023, Pet Harbor introduced me to cats and very quickly learned cats are not safe around me.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with dogs. When evaluated at the shelter before coming to Pet Harbor, I was playful with the other male dog I met. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have been playful with every dog I’ve met. They’ve mostly been around my size, but some have been smaller, some larger.

What am I?
Spayed female Siberian husky
Colors:
Black & white, one blue eye, one parti eye (both blue & brown in the same eye)
Weight:
27 pounds (as of 1/9/2023)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have gravitated towards children. They’re small like I am. I choose to spend most of my time with and sleep with the little girl in my foster home. Because I have shown timidity around adults and not around children, Pet Harbor is requiring my home have at least one child who is at the time of my adoption under age 12.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have been around cats daily and have shown no interest other than sniffing them. Initially, I engaged in a playful chase or two, though my interest wasn’t held long. Siberian huskies tend to have a strong prey instinct and often show extreme, even fatal, aggression towards cats. Even if Pet Harbor’s evaluation is favorable, it may not translate to all cats under all circumstances.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with dogs. When evaluated at the shelter before coming to Pet Harbor, I was fine with the other female dog I met. When I first came to Pet Harbor, I did a lot of snarling and noisemaking towards other dogs. I gravitated towards the one dog who was close to my size. A few days later, I was and still am fine with all of them, but I do gravitate towards play with the dog closest to my size, who happens to be a female Siberian husky mix. Because of my timidity and the lack thereof with dogs, Pet Harbor is requiring my home have at least one other dog.
Energy Level:
High
Owner Aptitude Level:
Young Northern breed experience preferred
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for George Eric Smith.
History:
Running at large, I landed in a county shelter. My humans did not come to look for me. So I came to Pet Harbor.
Movies:
  1. 1/15/2023 – Georgi Girl

More About Me: Note: I am not underweight. Some dogs are oversized. Some dogs are just right. I am just undersized, a cute, petite little girly. These pictures don’t show how tiny I really am. The little girl in my foster home calls me “The Little Puppy.” I do have puppy behaviors, and I am tiny. But I am about a year old. Initially, when I have met adult people, I have exhibited a bit of timidity. In fact, when an adult tried to bring me in the house after being outside for a bit, I backed out of my collar. Then the child brought me inside with no issue. When I have met children, I have shown no timidity. I have absolutely been a child’s dog in my foster home. The little girl can walk me on a leash without issue. Other than children, my BFF is a 35-pound female Siberian mix dog. After the first day, I have been great with all dogs I’ve encountered, which helps my socialization. See, I gravitate to the smaller ones, which is good because they adore me, both the children and the smaller dog. I have been gentle and easy and so super sweet to them. The timidity I have for adults hopefully will eventually ease because I have found solace with children and dogs. At least that’s what my foster parents have observed.

Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor was told I am great with cats. On Dec 11, 2022, I was introduced to cats by Pet Harbor. I was completely unfazed by them. A different story when it came to bunnies, but the cats I ignored. Siberian huskies tend to have a strong prey instinct and often show extreme, even fatal, aggression towards cats. Even if Pet Harbor’s evaluation is favorable, it may not translate to all cats under all circumstances.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor was told I am great with dogs, including small dogs. The best home for me will have at least one other dog around my size, my new BFF.

More About Me: I have a nickname. It’s Showers. My foster mom says I shower everybody with love and kisses. So she calls me Showers. It makes me think of Rain, and I don’t understand it, but it doesn’t matter what she calls me. I’ll kiss her and love her regardless. I have been great with dogs and cats in my foster home, but I’ll let you in on a little secret. Although I don’t want to live without dogs, the real Valentine for me is people. I am in love with people. Are you my people? Don’t you want Showers?

More About Me: Must. Have. Belly Scratches. So, really, I’m an amazing guy. I have no clue how you could not possibly fall in love with me. The volunteers think I’m super sweet and gentle. In fact, when Pet Harbor was full but a volunteer met me at the shelter, they had to make room for just one more, me, because they feel I am awesome. I am so full of love for everybody. Well, maybe I love kitties in the wrong way, but I love all people and love playing with the dogs I have met. The only possible negative my foster mom can tell you is I countersurf, but I don’t see that as a negative. I mean, somebody has to clean the counters, right?

What am I?
Spayed female Siberian husky
Colors:
Black & white, bi-eyed (one blue eye, one brown eye)
Weight:
57 pounds (as of 12/8/2022)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. I have met children up to age 9 at my foster home. Initially, I exhibited a touch of timidity, same as I have with adults, and quickly relaxed.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. On 12/19/2022, Pet Harbor introduced me to cats. My reaction was pretty strong and relentless. Pet Harbor discontinued the introduction. So while it is possible that I might be okay with kitties, Pet Harbor decided it’s too dangerous to not err on the side of caution. So my home needs to be cat-free.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with dogs. When evaluated at the shelter before coming to Pet Harbor, I was great with the dogs I met. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have been great with all the dogs I’ve met. I play very well with them.
Energy Level:

Owner Aptitude Level:

  3. 12/1/2022 – Toy Time
  4. 12/1/2022 – Peer Play
  5. 12/1/2022 – A Fence Between Us

More About Me: Interestingly, somehow I got tagged at the shelter as a 6yo male. Well, it’s pretty easy to tell I’m a female, and my vet puts me at about age 3. Initially, I have exhibited a touch, just a touch, of timidity around people, but I’ve quickly gotten over it. You’d be shy and confused, too, if you were a girl and somebody gave you the name Lucas and told you you are twice your age. I have some silliness about me. I enjoy running and playing and am a bit mouthy, as good Siberian puppies should be. LOL I forgot to tell you I like to dance and twirl. Are there classes for canine ballerinas? I’m a friendly girl and just need a home where I’ll be loved this time.

More About Me: Really, what my foster family has observed about me can be described in one word: sweetness. I have been kind and gentle to the children and adults, for that matter, in my foster home and have been full of sweetness. I really have been an easy gal. The little girl in my foster home can walk me. You know, I’m one of those you just say, “Awww” when you encounter. I enjoy curling up with my people. Please note I do not have to go to the same family who adopts Virgil. I am my own woman.

More About Me: So probably the word that best fits me is fun. Maybe that’s why I sideline as a clown. I, of course, am all puppy. That will keep you in stitches as it is, but I also would wear a red nose & big, floppy shoes to make you laugh if that’s what it takes. Puppies are carefree and full of antics. That’s me. I’m a mischief-maker, a clown, and irresistible because being a mischief-maker and clown, I aim to make you laugh. So let’s shorten the words and get at the fun!
