Obviously, everything written here is subject to change.
Although Pet Harbor has resumed holding events, we must follow the guidelines established by the venues where our events are held. For example, as of this writing, 3/25/2022, we are required to hold events outdoors at PetsMart. This is continually being reevaluated with event management. Therefore, if weather is forecast to be too hot or too cold or there is precipitation, we will not hold said event. To confirm an event is being held, write firstname.lastname@example.org, check our Facebook page, or call (703) 583-4759.
At times other than events, approved applicants may be able to make other arrangements to meet one dog. Write email@example.com.
The bottom line is we want to be respectful of everyone’s feelings about protection against COVID.
Our current COVID guidelines are as follows:
~ Applicants may choose an in-person home visit or a virtual home visit using FaceTime, Zoom, Facebook Messenger, Google Meet, Skype, or similar virtual method. Whether masks are required will be decided by the applicants and the volunteer conducting the home visit.
~ If a meeting happens at a time other than an event, the adoption documentation will be completed electronically in advance.
~ Social distancing is not required if the applicants/volunteers have been vaccinated.
~ Masks are at the wearer’s discretion if vaccinated. If wearing a mask, the mask must cover the mouth and nose.
~ If you are sick, please stay home!
~ Hand sanitizer will be available at events.
