What am I?
Neutered male Siberian Husky
Colors:
Red & white, blue eyes
Weight:
65 pounds
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children of various ages. I enjoy being with them, but I leaned into the toddler for hugs and accidentally knocked her over. I’m big & lanky. Think of Marmaduke. I let the toddler walk me by holding the leash.
Experience with Cats:
Information coming soon.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with dogs. When introduced to a dog at the shelter, I was friendly and interested in him. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met several dogs. Though I play with them, if humans walk into the room, I will leave the other dogs in a New York minute. My new home can have dogs or no dogs. It doesn’t matter either way.
Energy Level:
High
Owner Aptitude Level:
Young Northern breed experience required
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Thomas A. Hobbs.
History:
Running at large, I landed in a county animal shelter. I was adopted. I was returned because during the one day in my home, I absconded a short fence twice and was picked up by the dog police. I was adopted a second time and returned again, this time because the adopters felt my stubbornness was more than they wanted to handle. From there, I came to Pet Harbor.

More About Me: Whatever else may happen, it is really important that this time, I find a family who wants to really integrate me into the family, not return me on a whim. It is important my new family set me up for success and keep me safe by not relying on a 4′ fence to contain me. If you understand Siberian Huskies, you will understand my quirks. I am super playful, an overgrown puppy, as it were, very loving and loads of fun. I will keep you laughing. But I also am true to my breed and suffer from Houdini-ism and Steve Jobs’ level of stubbornness. And, well, I’d say Steve’s worked out pretty well. So should mine!

What am I?
Spayed female Siberian Husky
Colors:
Black & white, blue eyes
Weight:
35 pounds (as of 9/2/19)
Experience with Children:
So far the children I have met have been my buddies, but loud noises and swift movements cause me hesitation. I am cautious around people, but it helps that children are closer to my height. It is also a tremendous help when there is another dog nearby.
Experience with Cats:
Info to come.
Experience with Dogs:
When introduced to other Siberians in my foster home, I couldn’t get enough of them. The best home for me will have at least one other dog around my size. The “shell” under which I hide tends to relax a bit when there is another dog. In them, I find comfort.

More About Me: The cutest tail wag in the universe. That’s what I have. It’s a good complement to my sweetness. Soft & sweet. I make you want to wrap me in a blanket to cuddle me like a baby. I have a shyness I need to overcome. Once I get into a stable home, that should be the place it starts. My beginnings have brought me to this place where I find trusting difficult. When people approach me, I turn and run. But if the people are accompanied by a dog, I will cautiously go towards them. Dogs are what will bring me out of my shell, which is why Pet Harbor believes the best home for me will be where at least one other dog around my size lives. As for house manners, if I know them, I have trouble using them. I have more important things on my mind. My focus is on trying to feel secure. Maybe you are the person who can help me?
