What am I?
Spayed female Siberian husky
Colors:
Black & white, blue eyes
Weight:
45 pounds (as of 10/30/21)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children up to age 8. All of my interactions with them have been great.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. On 10/31/2021, Pet Harbor introduced me to cats. I was totally fine with them and, in fact, seemed afraid of them. Siberian huskies tend to have a strong prey instinct and often show extreme, even fatal, aggression towards cats. Even if our evaluation is favorable, it may not translate to all cats under all circumstances.
Experience with Dogs:
At the shelter, I was introduced to a female dog and did well with her. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met multiple dogs, all around my size. All of my interactions have been positive. However, so far, I really just want to be with the people.
Energy Level:
Medium
Owner Aptitude Level:
Novice
Named for 9/11 Victim:
History:
Running at large, I landed in a county animal shelter. From there, I came to Pet Harbor.
Movies:
Coming soon!

More About Me: Easiest keeper in the universe. If you love Siberians but not their ways, I’m the dog for you. So far I have been totally quiet, really gentle, a no-issue dog.

What am I?
Neutered male Siberian husky
Colors:
Black & white, blue eyes
Weight:
54 pounds (as of 10/9/21)
Experience with Children:
Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have not met children. When more information is learned, it will be posted here.
Experience with Cats:
When I was introduced to cats at the shelter, my interaction was positive. In my foster home, I have tried to play with kitty, but my play style is far too rough to suit kitty. As is often the case with Siberians, I saw an outside cat as prey, but don’t worry. My foster mom stopped me from capturing that kitty. Siberian huskies tend to have a strong prey instinct and often show extreme, even fatal, aggression towards cats. Even if our evaluation is favorable, it may not translate to all cats under all circumstances.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my prior history. When I was introduced to dogs at the shelter, my interaction was positive. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I’ve been very playful with all dogs I’ve met.
Energy Level:
High
Owner Aptitude Level:
Northern breed experience preferred
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Maria Behr.
History:
Running at large, I landed in a county animal shelter. From there, I came to Pet Harbor.
Movies:

  2. 11/4/2021 – Three Musketeers

More About Me: Like all good Siberian huskies, I have a job. It’s an important job. I follow my foster mom everywhere to make sure she does not get lost. See how important that is? Don’t ask her. She might not think it’s so important. In fact, I’m not sure I’d want to see her performance evaluation of my following her everywhere. Other people would give better reviews. You see, I’m quite the charmer. Everywhere I go, people fall in love with me. My foster mom had to stand in line to take me to the vet. People were having their pictures taken with me while we were waiting in line! So if you want a true evaluation, either ask someone else or ask my foster mom when I’m not following her.

My most favorite thing in the world besides cuddling and kissing is food. I am super food-motivated. In fact, after I eat my supper, I cry to have my foster siblings’ meals as well. They never allow it. I have to come up with a Plan B.

Besides cuddling, kissing, and food, did I mention I enjoy squeaky toys? So I could live happily with other dogs or happily just with squeakies. . . and food, of course, food . . . and kisses and cuddles.

Red & white, one blue eye, one parti eye (both blue & brown in the same eye)
Weight:
40 pounds (as of 10/14/21)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children of various ages. All of my interactions with them have been great.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. On 10/28/2021, they introduced me to two cats. With one, I pulled the leash to get to the cat, but I was pretty easily distracted. With the second one, I maintained an unbreakable focus. For the cats’ safety, Pet Harbor discontinued the introduction. Siberian huskies tend to have a strong prey instinct and often show extreme, even fatal, aggression towards cats. Even if our evaluation is favorable, it may not translate to all cats under all circumstances.

More About Me: In the words of Anne Sullivan Macy, “You can’t touch love, but you can feel the sweetness that it pours into everything.” I am that sweetness. I pour my sweetness into everything. Everything about me is sweetness. I really am super sweet, like a honeypot. I will cuddle up in your arms if you let me. Don’t get me wrong. I am also quite playful. I also can be in my own little world, especially if you give me Orange Squeaky Bone (See my pictures.). Orange Squeaky Bone is my BFF, and when Orange is with me, there is nothing else. Back to my sweetness, did you notice I have half a tail? Isn’t that not the sweetest little thing ever? If you think that’s sweet, you should see me in my happiness. I wag my little half tail at top speed. And it is an “Awww” moment. My veterinarian thinks I was born with half a tail. You shouldn’t mind. I don’t miss something I never had!

What am I?
Neutered male Siberian husky
Colors:
Red & white, blue eyes
Weight:
41 pounds (as of 10/23/21)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. I am brand new to Pet Harbor. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children up to age 8. When I first met the 5yo child outdoors, I backed up and barked. Since that initial meeting, however, I have been fine with both children & wag and kiss. I do mouth, meaning I use my mouth in play and can unintentionally hurt fragile skin.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor was told kittens (2- & 5-week-old) are not safe around me. On 10/21/2021, Pet Harbor introduced me to cats. I had no negative reactions. (See video link below.) I did seem to focus on them a good bit, but I never tried to harm them. I am all puppy. I probably was hoping they would be playmates.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor was told I am great with dogs. Then at the shelter, I was introduced to dogs and did well with them. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met multiple dogs, all around my size. All of my interactions have been positive.
Energy Level:
High
Owner Aptitude Level:
Young Northern breed experience preferred
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for James Joseph Suozzo.
History:
Running at large, I landed in a county animal shelter. I was adopted. Unfortunately, I was allowed to be near newborn kittens. Because I caused them harm, I was dumped in another county animal shelter. From there, I came to Pet Harbor.
Movies:
  1. 10/21/2021 – Meow

More About Me: Puppy. Just think puppy. I am totally all puppy. I wag my entire body constantly. I am a puppy in your lap. One thing that’s important you have is a brush! Grooming and I are attached at the hip! So I’m full of love, play, and wiggle waggles. That’s me!
