Birthday (approx):

What am I?
Spayed female Siberian husky
Colors:
Black & white, blue eyes
Weight:
46 pounds (as of 4/9/2021)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know history with children prior to my becoming homeless. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have been fine with the children I’ve met. I’m fine with anyone, really, as long as they have a shareable lap. Please understand, though, I am all puppy. That means I mouth, which means I use my mouth in play and can unintentionally hurt fragile skin.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know history with cats. On 5/12/2021, Pet Harbor introduced me to a cat. When the cat was hiding from me, I was very focused on the cat. Then the cat swatted me with her paw. I yelped and hit the ground, maintaining my focus. Then the cat ran. I attempted to run after her.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history prior to being in the shelter. At the shelter, I did well during my dog-dog evaluation. I share my foster home with a male & a female Siberian. I am playful with them. I am a puppy, after all. I’m in a different foster home now. So far, Drake, also available for adoption, and I are BFFs. I am great with all the dogs and playful. Even most of the time, I’m good with the elderly female Siberian except she tires out quicker than I do. Then she doesn’t like my energy level so much.
Energy Level:
High
Owner Aptitude Level:
Young Northern breed experience preferred
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Kevin Thomas Szocik.
History:
Because my owners left me in a crate outdoors for days, I became a court case. When my owners did not show up in court, the county was awarded custody of me. From there, I came to Pet Harbor.
Movies:
  1. 4/10/2021 – Play Ball!
  2. 4/9/2021 – I insist!
  3. 4/1/2021 – C’mon, play with me!
  4. 4/1/2021 – Three-Ring Circus
  5. 4/1/2021 – Tug-o-War
  6. 3/31/2021 – Up Down/Up Down

More About Me: I am adorable and sweet and loving and all of those things everybody wants, but you must make sure you understand I am 100% puppy. What does that mean? Well, puppies come into this world with loads of energy and knowing nothing. And, remember, my background is I lived in a crate outdoors. Now that I’ve been set free, I’m loving life! Puppies also like to chew on things, whether that’s you, the carpet, or their own harness. For me, though, what I might lack in discipline, I make up for in love. So if you’re ready for a gorgeous Siberian puppy who just wants someone(s) to love, you found her!

What am I?
Spayed female Siberian husky
Colors:
Red & white, blue eyes
Weight:
50 pounds (as of 4/6/21)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met one child. I gave kisses & rubbed my head against the child. I like to jump up on adults for pets. I didn’t do that with the child.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know history prior to my being in a shelter. At the shelter, I was introduced to cats. They didn’t capture my attention until one hissed at me. That captured my focus, but I quickly became bored. In my foster home, however, initially, I tried to grab the kitty by the neck. My foster mom finds it difficult to break my focus from kitties. So the best home for me is feline-free.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history prior to being in the shelter. At the shelter, I did well during my dog-dog evaluation. I share my foster home with a male & a female Siberian. I play with them incessantly and enjoy sleeping close to one of them. However, around small dogs, I react similarly to the way I react to cats. Since I have shown signs of stress being left alone while crated, if my adoptive family leaves me alone for long periods, having a 2nd dog in my home is a plus or I can be left uncrated. So far uncrated, I’ve shown no issues.
Energy Level:
Medium
Owner Aptitude Level:
Northern breed experience preferred
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Irina Buslo.
History:
Running at large, I landed in an animal shelter. From there, I came to Pet Harbor.
Movies:
  1. 3/20/2021 – I’m so vocal
  2. 3/14/2021 – Making new friends
  3. 3/4/2021 – Serenaaaaade!
  4. 3/2/2021 – Pet me, please!

More About Me: At some point, I had humans who cared about me because I know more than I’d know if I didn’t. Who they were remains a mystery. I’m a silky soft cuddler. I’m a dreamboat. My foster mom is working on getting some weight on my bones. I’m sort of un-Siberian-like in that I’m pretty obedient and an easy keeper. Check out my videos to see a little more about me.

What am I?
Spayed female Siberian husky
Colors:
Grey & white, bi-eyed (one blue eye, one brown eye)
Weight:
43 pounds (as of 1/26/21)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor was told children lived in my prior home, but I was chained. So how much interaction I actually had with them is unknown. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have only met one toddler. I obeyed when told to sit. I was calm, sniffed the child, then licked her once. I sat patiently for a few minutes until the toddler came in to pet me & get a kiss. Please understand, though, I am a full-speed dog. I could barrel through small objects, including animals and humans. I’ve even been known to knock over adults when I’m in a case of the zoomies.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor was told when I met a kitty prior to coming to Pet Harbor, at first, I ignored kitty, but after I got more comfortable with my environment, I had to be separated from the kitty for the kitty’s safety. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have been separated from the kitty in my foster home after an initial meet. My energy level and social awkwardness could be dangerous for kitty. I do whine and try to get to kitties when I see them.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor was told my history is I am fine with other dogs but socially awkward, having never learned how properly to play with others. I can be too much for some dogs. In my first foster home since coming to Pet Harbor, I exhibited typical female Siberian husky behavior in that I was not very nice to my female Siberian foster sibling, even when she was ignoring me, but I played & played & played with my male Siberian foster sibling. So Pet Harbor moved me to a new foster home. Since coming to that foster home, I have met all sorts of dogs, male and female, and have played and played with all of them without any issues, even small and young ones. I love to roughhouse with other dogs.
Energy Level:
High
Owner Aptitude Level:
Young Northern breed experience required
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for David J. Williams.
History:
I lived attached to a chain. I was saved by Dogs Deserve Better Blue Ridge. From there, I came to Pet Harbor Rescue.
Movies:
  1. 3/12/2021 – Fun With Agility
  2. 2/26/2021 – Fetch!
  3. 2/12/2021 – Him v. Her
  4. 2/12/2020 – Never Let Go!
  5. 2/6/2020 – Three-Ring Circus

More About Me: First important thing for you to know – my home should have a Volkswagen van for camping because that’s what I love to do. You don’t have a VW van? Want to buy one for me? How about any kind of camping gear? No? What about a tent in the backyard? Not even that? Can we at least roast marshmallows in the yard? No marshmallows? What’s a girl to do? Fine. If I must, I’ll settle for being with my pack wherever we are, but I really do love to go camping. I do want to be with my pack. When any pack member leaves, I cry and whine. When all of my pack members leave, I show them I mean business by killing crates. My pack is smarter than I am. They found an unkillable crate. Finally, you should know I am quite smart and quite trainable. Training is pretty easy, too, since I surely am motivated by what goes in my tummy. Now that I’ve talked full circle from marshmallows to marshmallows, let’s talk adoption! Did you get that van?

Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children of various ages. When some Siberians play, they make noises that sound mean but aren’t. I’m one of those Siberians. Younger children can be afraid of those noises. I wish they weren’t afraid since I want to cuddle with them.

Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. Pet Harbor has not introduced me to cats. If they do and more information is learned, it will be posted here.

Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor was told I was great with the children in the shelter foster home. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children up to age 14. I have been great with them except I’m a puppy. So when they leave something inviting in my path, I feel obligated to re-sculpt. 🙂
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor was told I had to leave the shelter foster home because, like most Siberians, I showed an abundance of interest in kitties. Thankfully, while I was there, no kitty was harmed. Pet Harbor will not place me in a home with cats.
Experience with Dogs:
Since coming to Pet Harbor, I’ve met other dogs and have been great with them.
Energy Level:
High
Owner Aptitude Level:
Young Northern breed experience preferred
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Charles H. Karczewsk.
History:
I was put in an animal shelter. I was going to be adopted, but they have a cat, and that did not work out well for the cat. So I was fostered for the shelter, then came to Pet Harbor.
Movies:
  1. 1/23/2021 – Meeting my foster siblings
  2. 1/23/2021 – Catch me if you can!

More About Me: Info to come. Note the age listed above is what my original owners said. The truth is probably closer to 10 months or so, but, in any event, I am all puppy.

Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met several kitties. I have been as playful with them as I am with dogs. Then on 12/21, I met 2 5-mo-old kittens. I was very focused on them and tried to bite both of them. Then I saw an older cat. The cat swatted me eight times. I did not react. On 12/22, I again met the kittens and again tried to bite. Then I again saw the bigger, lazier kitty. I again did not react.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor was told I am fine with other dogs. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met several dogs, all bigger than I am. I have been playful with all of them. I try to play with everyone – dogs, cats, children, grownups. 12/30/2020, I met a Chihuahua. I was curious and friendly with him. I was easily distracted, but I did think he was a cute little thing.
