Age:
2 years old
Birthday:
September 11, 2017
What am I?
Neutered male Siberian Husky
Colors:
Black & white, blue eyes
Weight:
64 pounds (as of 3/9/19)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor was told I lived with children up to age 4 before coming to Pet Harbor and that I was playful with them. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met lots of children of all ages. I shower them with kisses.  Due to my energy level, I can knock down little children, but after I knock them down, I will shower them with kisses.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor was told I have never met a cat. On 12/8, Pet Harbor introduced me to a cat. With hackles up, I barked & lunged. For kitty safety, I cannot live with them.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor was told I lived with another dog before coming to Pet Harbor. Then in my dog-dog introduction, I was uber excited & attempted to entice play. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have been very playful with the other dogs in foster care. They are 20-80 pounds. When I see small dogs at PetsMart, I am fixated, but in my foster home, I have become the caretaker of Dano & Ezra (puppies). I adore them & play with them a lot. You see, I believe I am a puppy, too.
Energy Level:
High
Owner Aptitude Level:
Northern breed experience required
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Maxima Jean-Pierre.
History:
My owners put me in an animal shelter because I “frequently escaped.” From there, I came to Pet Harbor Rescue. I was adopted from Pet Harbor and returned, citing issues with the other dog.
Movies:
  1. 12/8/18 – Jolly young Maxim & old St. Nick.
  2. 12/8/18 – Let’s dance!
  3. 12/8/18 – Birds of a Feather.

More About Me: I’m all about that play, ’bout that play, ’bout that play, no trouble. Well, I’m a young Siberian. So trouble kind of comes with the territory. Full of humor, love, strength, and without trepidation or slowing mechanisms, I am always at the ready to shower people with kisses. In fact, like all good Siberians, I have a job. My job title is Johnny Appleseed. Instead of spreading seeds so new apple trees can grow, I spread kisses and love everywhere so happiness and joy will grow. Funny thing about me – I am so intensely focused on getting affection from humans & giving it back to them, I forget to be a Siberian. I ran out a door in my foster home & started sniffing around. Then my foster sister called my name. Oh, boy! Someone to show & get love. I forgot to run away. I ran right into her arms, jumped up, gave her kisses, and let her grab my collar. Good thing I love love! Another funny thing about me – I adore – ADORE – puppies. I am absolutely enthralled with Ezra & Dano, also available for adoption. But the funny part is when I meet small dogs at PetsMart, I seem to have a fixation on them that concerns the volunteers. See how funny I can be? Siberians generally stay in puppy stage until about age 3. Yep, I’m well within that puppy stage. So if you are ready for loads of laughter, slurpy kisses, and maybe have a canine playmate for me, let’s go home!

Age:

Birthday:
October 7, 2016
What am I?
Neutered male Siberian Husky
Colors:
Red & white, blue eyes
Weight:
40 pounds (as of 10/19/18)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor was told I lived with children under age 7 and was fine with them. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children up to age 5. My interactions with them have been positive.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. On 11/4/18, Pet Harbor performed a test for cat-friendliness. Until the cat moved, I ignored him. When he moved, I did focus on him, but I did not attempt to chase. Further testing is needed before Pet Harbor will make an assessment.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with dogs. I passed my dog-dog tests, wagging & play bowing to play. One of the dogs in my foster home does not like me, but I am fine with all the dogs. In fact, Jenkins, also available for adoption, is my BFF. We play a lot.
Energy Level:
Medium
Owner Aptitude Level:
Northern breed experience preferred
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Jennifer Tzemis.
History:
Supposedly my humans got me from a breeder. Two years later, they put me in an animal shelter, saying they had “no time” for me.
Movies:
Coming soon!

More About Me: I don’t understand why my humans thought they should put me in a shelter and felt they didn’t have time for me. I really don’t mean to be a bother. I try not to take up a lot of people’s time. I just want to have people and a home. Is that too much to ask? Please make sure when you have children, fur or otherwise, it is a forever relationship. We aren’t throw-aways. We are living, breathing creatures with hearts and lots of love to give. I’m a well-mannered boy. I will sit by you and push into you. Snuggling & cuddling are my favorite pastimes.

What am I?
Spayed female Siberian Husky
Colors:
Red & white, blue eyes
Weight:
53 pounds (as of 10/22/18)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children of all ages. All of my interactions with them have been positive. I seem quite fond of them, actually. The one drawback is my energy level means I run circles right through toddlers.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. On 10/22/18, Pet Harbor tested me for cat-friendliness. The result is I cannot live with cats at all.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with dogs. I passed my dog-dog tests. I have interacted with the dogs in my foster home without incident, although I want to spend all of my time loving people.
Energy Level:
Medium-High
Owner Aptitude Level:
Northern breed experience preferred
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Kathleen Ann Nicosia.
History:
Several times, running at large, I landed in an animal shelter. Finally, I came to Pet Harbor Rescue.
Movies:
  1. 11/3/18 – Jump Shot
  2. 11/3/18 – So Happy to See You!!

More About Me: There is one place & one place only that I want to be. And that is with people. I adore people so very much! Wherever you are, that is where I want to be. And if I’m not with my people, I will speak what is on my mind in protest. I’m just about as sweet, as comical, and as happy as I can be. I know a few commands, and you will enjoy watching me show off my knowledge. I will keep you laughing, and you will want to squeeze me all the time. I really am enjoying this thing called life & truly have no idea I am homeless. Are you my people with whom I want to spend all of my time? If so, couldn’t we go home now, please?

What am I?
Neutered male Siberian Husky
Colors:
Black & white, blue eyes
Weight:
45 pounds (as of 10/20/18)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor was told I lived with children and was fine with them and was “friendly to everyone.” Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children ages 2 & 5 & did my best to be as close to them as I could get. I just had to give them kisses!
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. On 10/15/18, Pet Harbor performed a test for cat-friendliness. I failed miserably. In other words, I love cats but in the wrong way. Bottom line: I cannot live with cats.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with dogs. I passed my dog-dog tests. I run with the other dogs in the pack at my foster home, but it did take me a couple of days to warm up. When big, bad dogs say, “Boo!” I tuck tail and run. I have shown no negative incidents towards other dogs, the power of positive thinking.
Energy Level:
High
Owner Aptitude Level:
Northern breed experience preferred
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Karl W. Teepe.
History:
My owners put me in an animal shelter because they were of the opinion that I am “too vocal.” From there, I came to Pet Harbor Rescue, and it’s a funny thing. Pet Harbor says I’m pretty quiet.
Movies:

More About Me: Siberian Huskies are a working breed. We need a job. I have a job. I don’t get much of a paycheck, but I don’t really care about that. I just need to work. What is my job, you ask? I’m the head hauncho at NWI, (Nonstop Wagging Incorporated). My chief responsibility is to wag, wag, and wag some more. And I take that responsibility very, um, very, let’s say, literally. “Seriously” doesn’t fit into my vocabulary. So we’ll go with “literally.” I’m a happy boy, nonstop smiles, nonstop love, nonstop play. But, most of all, I’m all about nonstop wagging. You know how some dogs will enjoy being petted and some dogs will run from it? I lean into it. If you stop, okay. I’m adaptable. Then let’s play. Just because we stop loving for a while doesn’t mean I’ll sulk. I’ll find something else to do. If I can’t love, no problem. Then I’m all about that play, ’bout that play, no treble. Oops. I got sidetracked. So, anyway, come out down to NWI and check out my skills!

What am I?
Neutered male Siberian Husky
Colors:
Black & white, bi-eyed (one blue eye, one brown eye)
Weight:
65 pounds (as of 3/9/19)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children of all ages. My interactions with them have mostly been positive.  I tend to back away from some of them.  The less rowdy they are, the more I like them.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. On 10/15/18, Pet Harbor performed a test for cat-friendliness. Once the cat ran, I could not break my focus. As a result, Pet Harbor will not place me in a home with cats.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor was told I used to live with a Cocker Spaniel. Other than that, Pet Harbor does not know my history with dogs. I passed my dog-dog tests. I have interacted and mingled with the other dogs in my foster home. I am the dominant male of the pack. I’m also the socialite of the pack. That just means I’m the head hauncho, right?
Energy Level:
High
Owner Aptitude Level:
Novice
Named for 9/11 Victim:
History:
I was running free with a Cocker Spaniel. We were taken to an animal shelter. My owners were notified but did not reclaim me. So from there, I came to Pet Harbor Rescue.
Movies:
  1. 10/20/18 – Spinner
  2. 10/20/18 – Let’s Dance!
  3. 10/10/18 – Fetch!

More About Me: Guilty by association. So my name is Mickley. Doesn’t it put you in the mind of Mickey? Mickey Mouse. Disney. The happiest place on Earth. I, Mickley, am the happiest dog on Earth and will make my humans the happiest people on Earth. What is my claim to fame, you ask? Well, pretty much every single thing I do. What I put my paw on turns to comedy. Toss a toy in the air & watch me come to action! Seriously, I don’t allow sadness around me. I’m always happy & playful. If you don’t believe me, put your face down here so I can whisper in your ear (but, really, I’ll sneak in a kiss shower and make you laugh). Amusement is my middle name, and I find everything extraordinarily amusing. If it’s really boring, I’ll find a way to make it amusing.  The one thing you must have for me is a brush.  My coat needs regular grooming.

Spayed female Siberian Husky
Colors:

Weight:
48 pounds (as of 10/20/18)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor was told I lived with children and was fine with them. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children of all ages. At first, I seemed a bit frightened by them.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. On 10/20/18, Pet Harbor performed a test for cat-friendliness. At first, I was unsure what they were. When I got up close & personal with them, though, I sniffed a lot but had no other reaction. They smell okay to me.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with dogs. I passed my dog-dog tests, mostly ignoring the other dogs. Same as I am with people, it takes me a tiny bit of time to warm up, but I live with other dogs in my foster home without any negative incidents and became confident pretty quickly.
Energy Level:
Medium
Owner Aptitude Level:
Experience with shy dogs is a plus!
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Donald D. Simmons.
History:
My owners put me in an animal shelter with the excuse they were “moving.” Then the folks at the shelter placed me in a home. Then I was returned to the shelter because I wasn’t “a good fit,” whatever that means. So from there, I came to Pet Harbor Rescue.
Movies:
  1. 11/3/18 – Easy Peasy
  2. 11/3/18 – Simma Meets Smaller Dogs

More About Me: The first thing you will notice about me is I have a little bit of shyness. You might also have that same touch of trepidation if you have been through as many homes as I have. The second thing you will notice about me is it doesn’t take long to get over that shyness. I will become your best friend, your confidante, your sweet gal if you give me a tiny bit of time. We’re talking minutes, not days. Hopefully my new human(s) will treat me right & I won’t have to move around to a new home and I will get rid of the initial shyness and will be loved forever. Once I drop that shyness, you’ll see I’m a fantastic girl, full of love, training, obedience, attention. Why, you almost could hear me purr! Are you ready for a sweetheart like me?
