What am I?
Neutered male Siberian Husky
Colors:
Black & white, blue eyes
Weight:
45 pounds (as of 10/20/18)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor was told I lived with children and was fine with them and was “friendly to everyone.” Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children ages 2 & 5 & did my best to be as close to them as I could get. I just had to give them kisses!
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. On 10/15/18, Pet Harbor performed a test for cat-friendliness. I failed miserably. In other words, I love cats but in the wrong way. Bottom line: I cannot live with cats.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with dogs. I passed my dog-dog tests. I run with the other dogs in the pack at my foster home, but it did take me a couple of days to warm up. When big, bad dogs say, “Boo!” I tuck tail and run. I have shown no negative incidents towards other dogs, the power of positive thinking.
Energy Level:
High
Owner Aptitude Level:
Northern breed experience preferred
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Karl W. Teepe.
History:
My owners put me in an animal shelter because they were of the opinion that I am “too vocal.” From there, I came to Pet Harbor Rescue, and it’s a funny thing. Pet Harbor says I’m pretty quiet.
Movies:
Coming soon!

More About Me: Siberian Huskies are a working breed. We need a job. I have a job. I don’t get much of a paycheck, but I don’t really care about that. I just need to work. What is my job, you ask? I’m the head hauncho at NWI, (Nonstop Wagging Incorporated). My chief responsibility is to wag, wag, and wag some more. And I take that responsibility very, um, very, let’s say, literally. “Seriously” doesn’t fit into my vocabulary. So we’ll go with “literally.” I’m a happy boy, nonstop smiles, nonstop love, nonstop play. But, most of all, I’m all about nonstop wagging. You know how some dogs will enjoy being petted and some dogs will run from it? I lean into it. If you stop, okay. I’m adaptable. Then let’s play. Just because we stop loving for a while doesn’t mean I’ll sulk. I’ll find something else to do. If I can’t love, no problem. Then I’m all about that play, ’bout that play, no treble. Oops. I got sidetracked. So, anyway, come out down to NWI and check out my skills!

What am I?
Neutered male Siberian Husky
Colors:
Black & white, bi-eyed (one blue eye, one brown eye)
Weight:
65 pounds (as of 3/9/19)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children of all ages. My interactions with them have mostly been positive.  I tend to back away from some of them.  The less rowdy they are, the more I like them.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. On 10/15/18, Pet Harbor performed a test for cat-friendliness. Once the cat ran, I could not break my focus. As a result, Pet Harbor will not place me in a home with cats.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor was told I used to live with a Cocker Spaniel. Other than that, Pet Harbor does not know my history with dogs. I passed my dog-dog tests. I have interacted and mingled with the other dogs in my foster home. I am the dominant male of the pack. I’m also the socialite of the pack. That just means I’m the head hauncho, right?
Energy Level:
High
Owner Aptitude Level:
Novice
Named for 9/11 Victim:
History:
I was running free with a Cocker Spaniel. We were taken to an animal shelter. My owners were notified but did not reclaim me. So from there, I came to Pet Harbor Rescue.
Movies:
  1. 10/20/18 – Spinner
  2. 10/20/18 – Let’s Dance!
  3. 10/10/18 – Fetch!

More About Me: Guilty by association. So my name is Mickley. Doesn’t it put you in the mind of Mickey? Mickey Mouse. Disney. The happiest place on Earth. I, Mickley, am the happiest dog on Earth and will make my humans the happiest people on Earth. What is my claim to fame, you ask? Well, pretty much every single thing I do. What I put my paw on turns to comedy. Toss a toy in the air & watch me come to action! Seriously, I don’t allow sadness around me. I’m always happy & playful. If you don’t believe me, put your face down here so I can whisper in your ear (but, really, I’ll sneak in a kiss shower and make you laugh). Amusement is my middle name, and I find everything extraordinarily amusing. If it’s really boring, I’ll find a way to make it amusing.  The one thing you must have for me is a brush.  My coat needs regular grooming.

Spayed female Siberian Husky

Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor was told I lived with children and was fine with them. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children of all ages. At first, I seemed a bit frightened by them.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. On 10/20/18, Pet Harbor performed a test for cat-friendliness. At first, I was unsure what they were. When I got up close & personal with them, though, I sniffed a lot but had no other reaction. They smell okay to me.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with dogs. I passed my dog-dog tests, mostly ignoring the other dogs. Same as I am with people, it takes me a tiny bit of time to warm up, but I live with other dogs in my foster home without any negative incidents and became confident pretty quickly.
Energy Level:
Medium
Owner Aptitude Level:
Experience with shy dogs is a plus!
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Donald D. Simmons.
History:
My owners put me in an animal shelter with the excuse they were “moving.” Then the folks at the shelter placed me in a home. Then I was returned to the shelter because I wasn’t “a good fit,” whatever that means. So from there, I came to Pet Harbor Rescue.
Movies:
  1. 11/3/18 – Easy Peasy
  2. 11/3/18 – Simma Meets Smaller Dogs

More About Me: The first thing you will notice about me is I have a little bit of shyness. You might also have that same touch of trepidation if you have been through as many homes as I have. The second thing you will notice about me is it doesn’t take long to get over that shyness. I will become your best friend, your confidante, your sweet gal if you give me a tiny bit of time. We’re talking minutes, not days. Hopefully my new human(s) will treat me right & I won’t have to move around to a new home and I will get rid of the initial shyness and will be loved forever. Once I drop that shyness, you’ll see I’m a fantastic girl, full of love, training, obedience, attention. Why, you almost could hear me purr! Are you ready for a sweetheart like me?

What am I?
Neutered male Siberian Husky
Colors:

Weight:
68 pounds (as of 3/9/19)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children of all ages. I play with them & kiss them. I have calmed somewhat, but when I first got to Pet Harbor, I was a rambunctious puppy. So I knocked down little children, but after I knocked them down, I showered them with kisses.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. On 11/4/18, Pet Harbor performed a test for cat-friendliness. The result is the cats were more afraid of me & my energy level than I was of them. I was more interested in their canned cat food than them. On 11/23/18, Pet Harbor repeated testing. The cat smacked me and then ran. I did not react. My third cat test was similar, but then I went to a home with two kitties and after a few days, I became too focused on one of the kitties, to the point where the kitty’s humans became afraid. So Pet Harbor has decided in order to exercise an abundance of caution, I will only be placed in a cat-free home.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with dogs. I passed my dog-dog tests with female & male dogs. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met male & female dogs and play with them all. Zemis was my BFF, and we loved to play a lot! He got adopted. So now I play with several dogs at once.

History:
My former owners bought me from an Amish breeder. Nine months later, they put me in an animal shelter, indicating they do not have the “time or resources needed to care for” me. From there, I came to Pet Harbor Rescue.
Movies:
  1. 12/8/18 – Oh, to be Close to You!
  2. 11/3/18 – Scavenger
  3. 9/16/18 – A little kindergarten rough-housing!
  4. 9/16/18 – Running and exploring the yard.

More About Me: I’m uber friendly and playful, ready to be putty in your hands. I’m what my foster home calls a plug-and-play dog.  I can fit in almost any home environment.  I’m a lover, not a fighter.  If you know Siberians, you know me. All those traits that describe a Siberian describe me. Siberians are friendly and loving. Yep, that’s me. I’m a total sweetheart. Happy as can be. Yep, that’s me. Sing the song of my people? Yep, I do. I’m not quiet. Well, I’m not quiet when my human(s) leave me alone. I have quite a lot to say in protest. If you know & love Siberians, you will know that song is melodious & enjoy it, but if you live in an apartment or in close quarters, your neighbors may not. I’m much happier when my people are home where they can pet me or fix me food or let me kiss them. Fun-loving & people-loving. Yep. That’s me! So the bottom line is if you are a Siberian person, I’m the perfect dog for you!

Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children of all ages. All of my interactions with them have been positive. I sleep with children in my foster home. The 5-year-old walks me by my collar & has taken food from me, both without incident.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. On 9/14/18, Pet Harbor performed a test for cat-friendliness. I showed no interest in the cats, but I was focused on removing myself from the environment. So the test results are inconclusive. On 10/18/18, Pet Harbor repeated the cat-friendliness test. I showed no interest in kitties. Pet Harbor is comfortable placing me in a home with cats.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with dogs. I passed my dog-dog test with a female dog. I have interacted with dogs my size of both genders since coming to Pet Harbor. I can take them or leave them. I have had no negative interactions with them, but I haven’t played with them either.

  3. 9/15/18 – So much to do and see!

More About Me: All you need to know is I’m about the sweetest dog who ever lived. I’m great with toddlers. I don’t run through or over them. I take treats from them quietly & easily. I have the cutest, most feminine play bow in the world. I have a soft woo that is rarely heard. I have an adorable smile. I’m well-behaved. I’m not a kissy Siberian, but I will push into you to be petted if you are so inclined to pet me. I don’t even mind going to the veterinarian, getting shots, or being brushed. I am perfection. Really, I am. I’m healthy, too. I’m one of those no-issue dogs who makes people scratch their heads trying to figure out how I got homeless & was not reclaimed. Oh, well. Hopefully my next people will be my last people & will love me the way I deserve to be loved. There are two things I do not like. One is hardwood floors, the other having my picture taken. Other than that, I’m a doll baby.

Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. Pet Harbor performed a brief initial evaluation for cat-friendliness, and I didn’t show aggression. On 8/26/18, I was given a more in-depth evaluation for cat-friendliness and did not respond well. I cannot live with cats.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with dogs. I showed no aggression during my dog-friendliness evaluation. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have gotten along fabulously with all the dogs I have met. There is one grumpy old female who always tries to pick fights with me. I run from her.

More About Me: Sweetness.  I am a cutie patootie.  There are two things I need in my new house:  (a) a place to plant kisses & (b) groceries.  I don’t eat much, and I burn it off faster than I take it in!  And I am a doll who loves to kiss. My foster mom thinks the most beautiful sight in the world is me running, “Run, Shelley, run!” Breathtaking. Of course, those times are rare because I spend most of my time kissing and expressing my love for all mankind.

What am I?
Neutered male Siberian Husky
Colors:
White, blue eyes
Weight:
57 pounds (as of 8/9/18)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor was told I lived with children of all ages & had only positive interactions with them, that, in fact, I “enjoyed being with” them. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children up to age 5. I am unsure why I’m being shuffled around at this point. I’ve only been with Pet Harbor since 8/9/18.  So I haven’t quite relaxed yet, but when the children allowed me to come to them, I gave them soft, easy kisses. When they rushed me, however, I tried to back away. Once I settle in, things may be different.
Experience with Cats:
I am homeless because of my negative interaction with a kitty. I cannot live with kitties.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor was told I lived with dogs of all sizes & only had negative reactions to intact ones. (I was also intact.) I showed no aggression during my dog-friendliness evaluations with both male & female dogs. I am brand new to Pet Harbor and have no negative interactions with the dogs I have met so far, though I have mostly ignored them.
Energy Level:
Medium
Owner Aptitude Level:
Northern breed experience preferred
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Bella J. Bhukhan.
History:
Because I rid the world of a feral cat, I landed in an animal shelter. From there, I came to Pet Harbor Rescue.
Movies:
  1. 9/3/18 – I give the best toddler kisses!
  2. 8/11/18 – Even dogs can take selfies!
  3. 8/11/18 – What, pray tell, are you?
  4. 8/11/18 – Oh, how I love to run, run, run!
  5. 8/10/18 – Short & Sweet!
  6. 8/08/18 – Dogs are okay, but people are better!

More About Me: Mostly laidback, I seem to adapt to most anything. I want to spend my time with people. If you are quiet & laidback, that’s what I’ll tend to be. If you are running and wanna play, I’ll be all about that, too. What does that tell you? It tells me I’m a pretty easy keeper. So how about it? Wanna run & play with me or pet me and let me give you soft kisses? Either way, I’m down with that!

Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children of all ages. I show exuberant adoration toward them. I do express displeasure when children or dogs come near my food or water while I’m partaking.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor was told I chased cats, horses, and chickens in my most recent home. Therefore, it is assumed I cannot live with cats. Since Pet Harbor won’t let me live with kitties anyway, they have not performed an evaluation for cat-friendliness.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor was told I lived with small dogs in my most recent home (less than a week) but that I played rough with them. I showed no aggression during my dog-friendliness evaluations. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have mostly ignored other dogs, but I did have playmates at my foster home, both neutered males & spayed females, with energy levels similar to mine. I now am fostered with Stacey, also available for adoption. I tried to court her for the longest time. She was a tough cookie. She played hard to get as if she invented that game. My suaveness broke her. She and I are now “in a relationship,” and it no longer is complicated.

  3. 10/20/18 – My Buddy & Me
  4. 9/3/18 – Sweet Kisses
  5. 8/5/18 – Enjoying my people time!
  6. 8/11/18 – As Close to You as I can Possibly Get!
  7. 8/11/18 – C’mon! Let’s Go!

More About Me: Love to run. Love to snuggle. I’m a beautiful runner, with head held high; a big, beautiful smile on my face; and tall-stepping legs. The person at the end of my leash, however, needs to be strong enough to hold on tight or use the right kind of collar for me! Sporting a Herm Sprenger collar, I am easily walked. But about running, if you try playing Catch Me If You Can with me. I will win the race every time! Exuberant. That’s a word for me. I’m totally full of exuberance. When someone walks into the room, I will be extremely happy to see them! I will make them believe they are the love of my life. That brings me to my other love: snuggle. I love people. I must be close to you. I will lean into you or belly up for you or whatever it takes to get your attention. If you sit on a couch, I’ll sit on the couch looking for love. If you lie down, I will jump up on the bed with you to get close. If you’re standing at the stove cooking, I’ll lay down right behind you so I can be close. And if there is no person around, I will find some inanimate object and pretend it’s a person! I really love people, and I must make them know they are loved. So if you are ready for some snuggles & muscle-building, I’m ready for you!

Pet Harbor was told I lived with a child but growled at the child while I was on a couch. Pet Harbor cannot verify the accuracy of the information. I met children at the shelter and had no negative interactions. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children ages 1 to 5 and have had only positive interactions with them.  I do like to play, and I do play using my mouth. So little ones will need to understand that it is play.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. On 7/26/18, Pet Harbor performed a test for cat-friendliness.  When kitty was in a carrier, I had some interest, but when kitty was walking all around me, I paid no attention to her.  Though I saw her, I went about my own business.

Can you be my leader? Wanna run & play with me or pet me and let me give you soft kisses? Either way, I’m down with that!
