What am I?
Spayed female Siberian husky
Colors:
Black & white, blue eyes
Weight:
36 pounds (as of 10/30/2022)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children up to age 9 and have been great with them.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. On 9/14/2022, I was briefly introduced to cats. Because of my extreme energy level, the cats weren’t fans, but I did not try to hurt them. On 10/30/2022, I was reintroduced to them. This time, all bets were off. I went after them with a vengeance. No kitties for my home.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with dogs. When evaluated at the shelter before coming to Pet Harbor, I was fine with other dogs except my energy level was too much for a small dog. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met male & female dogs of all sizes and have been great with all of them. My energy level has not been an issue with them. Christine, who found her home already, was my foster sister and my BFF. We played a lot.
Energy Level:
High
Owner Aptitude Level:
Young Northern breed experience required
Named for 9/11 Victim:
History:
Running at large, I landed in a county shelter. My owner did not reclaim me. From there, I came to Pet Harbor.

More About Me: Oh, I know all of those other dogs will tell you they’re the sweetest dogs in the world, but that’s not true. I am. And I’m the happiest. And I’m the cutest. And I’m the most lovable. I’m so cute, little, loving, and adorable that it’s like I’m Charmin. You just wanna squeeze. And it’s okay with me. Nothing bothers me. Everything is roses for me.

Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children up to age 9 and have been great with them.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have been introduced to cats. At times, I have sniffed them and walked away. Other times, I have completely ignored them. Siberian huskies tend to have a strong prey instinct and often show extreme, even fatal, aggression towards cats. Even if Pet Harbor’s evaluation is favorable, it may not translate to all cats under all circumstances.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with dogs. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met male & female dogs around my size and larger. I have been great with all of them. More About Me: Siberian huskies are working dogs. I’m a working dog. My title is that of bedwarmer. I take my job seriously, though I have been caught sleeping on the job.

I’m a pretty calm dog, calmer than my age would suggest. Lest you think I am a lazy dog with no energy, let me tell you about the rabbit who lives in my neighborhood. The race is on! And playing with other dogs, of course, I have that Siberian energy level.

Another thing I do really well is hugs. I stand up with my paws placed gently on someone’s chest and let them put their arms around me. No chance of being sad around me. I can easily fix that problem.

Oh, one more secret I can tell you. The way to my heart. Food. What is my favorite? A good, juicy slab of steak with a side of bacon. Yum!

More About Me: In my foster home, I have been super sweet and happy. I give my foster family kisses, but they are soft kisses. I have been so gentle, the children I’ve met in the foster home love me. When they have stopped giving me attention, I have gently pawed at them until they focus on me. So c’mon. Let’s run, jump, and play and then take some snuggle/belly scratch breaks!

More About Me: If you would be so kind as to allow me to interrupt your activities for just a moment, kind sirs and ma’ams? Perhaps I went to charm school in my early years because my foster parents say I’m a polite gal. After all, I am a lady. Why, if you look closely enough, you might even see me curtsy! Well, at least you might believe I’ll sit pretty and give paw. In foster care, I’ve enjoyed going on walks, at least until we see some wildlife, at which point I enjoy taking my humans for rides! Now that you know my basics, perhaps you will allow me to show you my manners.

More About Me: Are you my lullaby person? What is that, you ask? It’s my claim to fame or claim to cuteness, to be more precise. My claim to fame is when I am restless, all it takes is one soft “Time for sleep” from my foster mom in her sweet, lullaby voice, and I immediately start yawning and put my head on my furry arm pillow. Do you think my claim to fame is as adorable as I think it is? While I am shy, I have definitely been coming to my foster mom now that I have been with her a bit. So I’m not as shy as I was at first. I also love to be carried and sitting in laps. Though shy, my tail is always wagging. Another cute thing about me, I clumsily run and fall around the house, entertaining for sure! Oh, and, boy, do I love to talk. Not only when I am ready to start my days but also interacting with other dogs, I am the loudest! I mean, don’t I have to be sure my voice is heard? I sing well, too. Can you keep a secret? I’m practicing for fame! I want my pawprint at Grauman’s! Oh, and did you know Siberians need an occupation? I have one! Don’t tell anyone because I fear they might try to stop me from doing my job. My occupation is that of a flip flop exterminator. And I do it well. Very well. My foster mom has held funerals for six pairs so far. But who is counting?

What am I?
Neutered male Siberian husky
Colors:
Agouti, one brown eye, one parti eye (both blue & brown in the same eye)
Weight:
60 pounds (as of 3/26/22)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children prior to coming to Pet Harbor. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children of all ages. I have been great with them, but I am also very strong. When I am running the zoomies in the yard, I certainly can knock over children (and adults). Children and I have enjoyed playing with toys and balls and running together, though.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats prior to coming to Pet Harbor. On March 18, 2022, Pet Harbor introduced me to a cat. I went into kill mode. No cat is safe around me. (Don’t worry. No kitty was harmed in this introduction.)
Experience with Dogs:
I came from a house with lots of dogs. When introduced to dogs at the shelter, I showed confidence but playfulness and energy. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met multiple dogs. I’ve been playful with most, but I’ve been not very happy about a few others, almost always males. In foster care, I’ve been much better with females. (See videos and pictures.)

Medium
Owner Aptitude Level:
Young Northern breed experience preferred
Named for 9/11 Victim:

Well, there is so much about me. Bring your smile and sit a spell. First, I LOVE people. It’s that simple, really, but I can elaborate if you wish. My love language is that of cuddles and skritches! I love being petted and want lots of snuggles. My foster parents have never known a dog who wants to cuddle as much as I do. Isn’t that distinction cool? Give me that trophy any day! You can see in my photos how much I enjoy snuggling.

I really do love all people, but let’s talk about children specifically for a second. Playing with children with balls and other toys is so much fun, and I enjoy being the goofball in the center. I do require sweetness breaks, though, as I need my hugs & kisses! Lots of children, oh, what fun! I would so enjoy keeping an eye on all the activity. A great babysitter I might not be, but a great friend and playmate I sure would – and let’s not forget a great cuddler. I am curious about everything and want to be involved in everything going on, preferably as that center goofball. And babies! Oh, babies! They drop food! They leave toys askew! They miss the trashcan! Oh, what a delight they are!

I don’t love just people in my home. I love all people. I’m always happy, always smiling, always want to be petted and be loved and give love. I’m a great neighborhood dog. Besides walks through the community, I enjoy neighborhood barbecues, fall festivals, evening concerts, and meeting everyone. I am the center of the party because they want to pet me, and I want them to pet me. Everyone who meets me loves me! When allowed, I easily approach people, even more so when they invite me by talking to me or putting out a hand. I will respond by wagging, and please know I love the attention! I would also enjoy a good game of badminton or volleyball! Life of all things party. That is me!

Wait! I have the PERFECT idea. I could run a booth at a neighborhood carnival! You know those kissing booths? I could run one of those, but how about this unique booth idea I have? What about a transformative booth where people go in one door, meet me, and come out the other door transformed into different people? After all, everyone who meets me now walks away happier than they were before they met me and always say what a good dog I am. So why shouldn’t I pay it back by doing a charity booth like that and make all the people in the world happier? Anybody out there who can help me get this started?

If my foster parents sit on the floor, I will come straight over and sit on their laps. I mean, wasn’t it an invitation? Even when I do zoomies around the yard at my foster home, I will do 2-3 laps, then run to any human standing by and rub against them, waiting to be petted, then flip over for belly rubs, then resume my zoomie quest, rinse, and repeat. When it’s quiet time, I’m good as well. I am happy to sleep on the floor by my people or snooze near them while they work.

Other things about me: I enjoy my walks, obviously, but I don’t need really fast or really long walks. And as much as I love attention, I am equally happy to do my own thing and entertain myself. I’m not a super clingy pooch. I guess I should probably also tell you I do love getting into trouble. In my foster home, I’ve mastered things like stealing a pen off the table, jumping on all of the furniture, investigating dishes on the kitchen counter, unrolling rolls of toilet paper, stealing sunglasses from an open bag left on the floor and playing Keep Away with them, waking up early in the morning and deciding that everyone else needs to get up, too. See how much money you’ll save on alarm clock electricity? Well, there’s a good reason to adopt me. I’ll save you money!

All that said, let’s talk about my occupation. So my foster parents have learned I will jump into any open car, expecting a ride. Therefore, one could assume perhaps I’m studying to be an Uber driver. There’s just that one pesky detail, that I have to have a driver’s license. Ever try to convince the Department of Motor Vehicles a dog should take an oral driving exam and pay the fee in Milk Bones? Don’t you think it sounds like a great life for me – Uber driver by day, Transformation Booth operator at night?

My coloring is not something you see every day. Here are some Siberians with my same coloring on the husky colors website: https://huskycolors.com/agouti.html
