Pet Harbor does not know my history with children prior to coming to Pet Harbor. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children of all ages. I have been great with them, but I am also very strong. When I am running the zoomies in the yard, I certainly can knock over children (and adults). Children and I have enjoyed playing with toys and balls and running together, though.

Experience with Cats:

Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats prior to coming to Pet Harbor. On March 18, 2022, Pet Harbor introduced me to a cat. I went into kill mode. No cat is safe around me. (Don’t worry. No kitty was harmed in this introduction.)

Experience with Dogs:

I came from a house with lots of dogs. When introduced to dogs at the shelter, I showed confidence but playfulness and energy. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met multiple dogs. I’ve been playful with most, but I’ve been not very happy about a few others, almost always males. In foster care, I’ve been much better with females. (See videos and pictures.)

Well, there is so much about me. Bring your smile and sit a spell. First, I LOVE people. It’s that simple, really, but I can elaborate if you wish. My love language is that of cuddles and skritches! I love being petted and want lots of snuggles. My foster parents have never known a dog who wants to cuddle as much as I do. Isn’t that distinction cool? Give me that trophy any day! You can see in my photos how much I enjoy snuggling.

I really do love all people, but let’s talk about children specifically for a second. Playing with children with balls and other toys is so much fun, and I enjoy being the goofball in the center. I do require sweetness breaks, though, as I need my hugs & kisses! Lots of children, oh, what fun! I would so enjoy keeping an eye on all the activity. A great babysitter I might not be, but a great friend and playmate I sure would – and let’s not forget a great cuddler. I am curious about everything and want to be involved in everything going on, preferably as that center goofball. And babies! Oh, babies! They drop food! They leave toys askew! They miss the trashcan! Oh, what a delight they are!

I don’t love just people in my home. I love all people. I’m always happy, always smiling, always want to be petted and be loved and give love. I’m a great neighborhood dog. Besides walks through the community, I enjoy neighborhood barbecues, fall festivals, evening concerts, and meeting everyone. I am the center of the party because they want to pet me, and I want them to pet me. Everyone who meets me loves me! When allowed, I easily approach people, even more so when they invite me by talking to me or putting out a hand. I will respond by wagging, and please know I love the attention! I would also enjoy a good game of badminton or volleyball! Life of all things party. That is me!

Wait! I have the PERFECT idea. I could run a booth at a neighborhood carnival! You know those kissing booths? I could run one of those, but how about this unique booth idea I have? What about a transformative booth where people go in one door, meet me, and come out the other door transformed into different people? After all, everyone who meets me now walks away happier than they were before they met me and always say what a good dog I am. So why shouldn’t I pay it back by doing a charity booth like that and make all the people in the world happier? Anybody out there who can help me get this started?

If my foster parents sit on the floor, I will come straight over and sit on their laps. I mean, wasn’t it an invitation? Even when I do zoomies around the yard at my foster home, I will do 2-3 laps, then run to any human standing by and rub against them, waiting to be petted, then flip over for belly rubs, then resume my zoomie quest, rinse, and repeat. When it’s quiet time, I’m good as well. I am happy to sleep on the floor by my people or snooze near them while they work.

Other things about me: I enjoy my walks, obviously, but I don’t need really fast or really long walks. And as much as I love attention, I am equally happy to do my own thing and entertain myself. I’m not a super clingy pooch. I guess I should probably also tell you I do love getting into trouble. In my foster home, I’ve mastered things like stealing a pen off the table, jumping on all of the furniture, investigating dishes on the kitchen counter, unrolling rolls of toilet paper, stealing sunglasses from an open bag left on the floor and playing Keep Away with them, waking up early in the morning and deciding that everyone else needs to get up, too. See how much money you’ll save on alarm clock electricity? Well, there’s a good reason to adopt me. I’ll save you money!

All that said, let’s talk about my occupation. So my foster parents have learned I will jump into any open car, expecting a ride. Therefore, one could assume perhaps I’m studying to be an Uber driver. There’s just that one pesky detail, that I have to have a driver’s license. Ever try to convince the Department of Motor Vehicles a dog should take an oral driving exam and pay the fee in Milk Bones? Don’t you think it sounds like a great life for me – Uber driver by day, Transformation Booth operator at night?

Experience with Children:

Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. The first time I was with Pet Harbor, I met children of all ages. I have had all positive interactions with them. I was adopted in 2018. Pet Harbor has no idea if I had interactions with children from 2018 to 2022.

Experience with Cats:

Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. I do have a prey drive because, along with my brother, Fernando, I participated in eliminating the world of a pesky goat. On 2/7/18, Pet Harbor performed a cat test. The result is, in a word, FAIL. I cannot share my home with kitties.

Experience with Dogs:

Before coming to Pet Harbor in 2018, I lived with Fernando, my brother. When Pet Harbor performed the first dog-dog test with another male dog, the interaction was issue-free. During my second dog-dog test, I expressed dominance behaviors. Now that I am with Pet Harbor, the first thing they noticed is I tried to play with Fernando, but Fernando didn’t really care. Then I humped him for a while. He didn’t care much about that either. I was much more bonded to Fernando than Fernando was to me. The exception to that rule is that when toys were around, I defended all toys as if I were the leader of the entire toy universe. I was fine with the other Siberians at my foster home. Then I met a small dog and a larger male dog at another house. I wasn’t nice to either of them. That was shortly after my neuter surgery. After time passed, I played. A. Lot. Until he got adopted, Romito and I were play buds. We did have a big fight over an unusual situation with a female dog, but we went back to being best buds after that was over. Of course, as mentioned already, when toys were in the vicinity, all bets were off. On 3/17/18, I was adopted. There was a female Siberian in that home. Sadly, I played rough with her, true Siberian play, biting the ankles, grabbing scruffs, and pulling off tags, but I also fought with her some, too. So I went back to Pet Harbor. After that, I played with other dogs a lot except there was one dog I bullied. He was just neutered. At that time, I was fine with the other dogs, who had been fixed for years. Then I got adopted again (2018). Fast forward to June of 2022. I came back to Pet Harbor. I have met several other Siberians. So far, I have had all positive interactions with them. Time will tell if that changes. Bottom line seems to be some dogs I can live with, some I cannot. If your dog(s) understand me, perhaps I can live with them. If they don’t, perhaps I can’t. In any event, at least the 2018 experience showed toys need to be hidden!

History:

Pet Harbor was told Fernando and I were put into a shelter because our owners decided they were unable to care for us. From there, we came to Pet Harbor. I was adopted in March of 2018. The female Siberian with whom I lived and I didn’t see eye to eye. So I, sadly, returned to homelessness. In June of 2018, I was adopted again. The next known fact is June of 2022, I was put into an animal shelter in Georgia by someone other than Pet Harbor’s adopter. The shelter scanned my microchip and found out I belonged to Pet Harbor. Pet Harbor got me back.

2018 Bio: Happy and sweet. Those are the best two words to describe me. Helping her drive, I sat next to my transporter, snuggled with her, and gave her kisses. My job title is Chief Sponge. It is my duty to soak up all loving from all available humans. Come closer, and I’ll prove it! Kisses, sweet and soft ones, are the business cards I leave everywhere I go. And where I go is to follow my human(s) wherever they go. Mary had a little lamb. Do you have a little Brue? Food and squeaky toys are at the entrance to my heart. Although sweetness is my primary trait, I also am comical. So hugs and laughter. What more could you possibly desire? And yes, I will sing for my supper. I have a lot to learn, and I promise to be ever so grateful if you teach me. There is a reward for teaching me: unlimited kisses. So how about it? Will you be my furever home?

More About Me: Every good Siberian has an occupation. I’m a caboose. There are other names for what I do, but I think caboose is cute. Don’t you? A train is not complete without a caboose. The caboose is a sign everything else has gone first. When my foster brothers & sisters go inside from outside, I am always the caboose. I’m a good boy helping my foster mom make sure all the other kids are inside, right? But check this out: That’s not even my foster mom’s favorite thing about me. She loves that I’m a gentle gentleman. Out of nowhere, I will clumsily climb into her lap, plant my front paws on her shoulders, and plant some kisses on her!! Hey, maybe I’m a gardener, not a caboose, because that’s a lot of planting, isn’t it?

I was pretty focused on sniffing him but did not try to harm him. On 5/1/2022, I was reintroduced to kitty. At this time, I had a stalker focus on kitty and tried desperately to reach him. So out of caution for kitty safety, Pet Harbor will only place me in a cat-free home.

More About Me: My foster mom believes there are two things I love: people and food. She says, boy, would I love to be a restaurateur. Man, that would be the life: surrounded by both food and people! I’d think I’d died and gone to Heaven. My foster mom describes me as super loving. I put my head on her lap if she’s sitting or chest if she’s lying down, and I shine my baby blues until she pets me. Of course, she never pets me enough. So then I go from person to person. When one has stopped petting me, I simply move to the next person. When I’ve made it around to everyone, I then have started the rounds again. But, really, I don’t make the rounds much because I’m so sweet they can’t help but pet me.

I am a small male Siberian. I’d say I’m compact. So I think I’m just the right size for young people. And, of course, I’m easy to train with food if you like training with food, and here’s to hoping you do!

More About Me: Really, I’m perfection. Why, you ask? If you’ve never had a Siberian husky before, then I’m your dream dog. In my foster home, I haven’t displayed an energy level shown by the young whippersnappers most days. So I’m a good introduction to the breed without being off the chain. If you check out my video, you will hear my soft & gentle woowoos. So if you like talking and singing Siberians but haven’t been exposed to their voices in your home, my subdued version is a great introduction. I have been fantastic with the children in my foster home. I haven’t barreled through them. I’ve been quite polite with them, and they adore me. I give them soft, easy kisses, and they’ve really enjoyed me. So if you have youngsters, I’m a good introduction to the breed for them. I’ve had a hard life. When I came to Pet Harbor, the initial thought was I was about 6 years old, but the more vets looked at me, the more that age estimate increased. I came to Pet Harbor with really bad skin and ear infections, choppy fur because of it, and without being spayed. Obviously I was without love and care, and I so deserve it. So the final piece to my perfection is I will warm the hearts of those who adopt me knowing they gave me the love and family I have always deserved and wanted. Then, finally, I will learn in my last years that I really am worthy. If you got through this without tears, you’re stronger than the person writing it, but now it’s time for the author to go give me a hug. Thank you for reading my story.

Well, at long last, I found my home. I waited a long time for my home. My perfect self found a perfect mom & home. My mom is a former Pet Harbor adopter. She adopted Tatiani (formerly Pet Harbor’s Sara). Tatiani lived a long and happy life. I know I will, too. Pet Harbor volunteers are in love with me. One volunteer even donated my adoption donation in memory of her beautiful Siberian husky Kaya. You can read about Kaya here.

More About Me: So I have two occupations. First, I’m a toymaker. To be a toymaker, one must have as a foundation a love of toys. I have that. The second ingredient of toymaking is creativity. I have that, too. I will turn just about anything into a toy. Good luck trying to be sad around me. I aim to not allow that. My second occupation is also a sadness-eradicating one. I’m a cuddler.
