What am I?
Neutered male Siberian husky
Colors:
Grey & white, blue eyes
Weight:
48 pounds (as of 8/24/2021)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children of all ages and have been great with them.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. At the shelter, I was introduced to cats. I did not pay much attention to them. On 9/11/2021, I was introduced to cats at Pet Harbor. I stiffened, focused, and lunged at the kitty. I tried to invite him for lunch, but he knew what was up and laughed at me. No cats can live in my home.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with other dogs. At the shelter, I was introduced to a male dog and did well with him. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met dogs around my size. I have been fine with all of them.

Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Charles Alan Zion.
History:
For the crime of running at large, I landed in an animal shelter. From there, I came to Pet Harbor.

More About Me: How many buttons do you have? I have two: full activation or flatlining. I can be the most active jumping bean in the batch or the laziest sloth there is. And I live each button to its fullest. Whether playing ball with children or playing husky-style with other dogs, I love to play. I also love my good, solid naptime. Seems to me I’d be perfect for any family. I mean, who doesn’t like a good Sunday afternoon snooze? And don’t you also need a good workout? I go to the gym with my foster sister. I love going there. They love me, too! I’m quite the party goer and the center of attention when I arrive! What else am I? Sweet, loving, comical, and vocal. Seriously, I think I’m pretty much perfect. Oh, wait. I should add handsome just in case you didn’t already know that. I’m so vain. I probably think the song you’re playing is about me.

What am I?
Spayed female Siberian husky
Colors:
Agouti, one brown eye, one parti eye (both blue & brown in the same eye)
Weight:
55 pounds (as of 8/14/21)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children of all ages and have been great with them, even giving soft kisses. The children in my foster home fell in love with me. Then I got adopted, and my adopter was grandpa to a set of young twins, whom I adored.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. On 8/15/21, Pet Harbor introduced me to cats. Mostly I pay little attention to them until they run. Pet Harbor would recommend I not be left unsupervised with kitties. Siberian Huskies tend to have a strong prey instinct and often show extreme, even fatal, aggression towards cats. Even if our evaluation is favorable, it may not translate to all cats under all circumstances.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with other dogs. At the shelter, I was introduced to a female dog and did well with her. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met several dogs, all around my size. I have been fine with all of them, but I don’t really pay attention to them. I’d rather spend my time with the humans. Since coming back to Pet Harbor on October 14, 2022, I have been in a foster home with Vega, also available for adoption. Check out the videos, and you’ll see how well we get along. Forgive him. He’s just a bit flirt.

More About Me: In September of 2021, I found my home. Unfortunately, in October of 2022, I came back to Pet Harbor when my beloved adopter passed away.

My coloring is not something you see every day. You can call me black & white or agouti. Here are some Siberians with my same coloring on the husky colors website: https://huskycolors.com/agouti.html

Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children up to age 8 and have been great with them, even giving soft kisses.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. On 8/19/2021, Pet Harbor introduced me to cats. When a cat swatted at me, I lunged for the cat. It is not safe for cats to live with me.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with other dogs. At the shelter, I was introduced to a male dog and did well with him. When I first came to Pet Harbor, I met several dogs, all around my size. I was fine with all of them. At first, I ignored them. Then I played with them. Drake was the leader. When Drake moved to a different foster home, I became the alpha-wannabe. That means I have to fight for the position. True alphas don’t. It’s intrinsically known they are alpha. Well, that’s what I do. Even when Drake came back to visit, I tried to fight him, although I idolized him when we lived together. Interestingly, since three new dogs have come to my foster home, all intact, male & female, I have been completely fine with them, no fighting whatsoever. Maybe the way to say it is I pick my friends. I do not discriminate based on race, religious, gender, or any other reason. I’m an equal opportunity fighter.

History:
At four months old, with my sister, I ended up in a Rhode Island animal shelter. Our owner took us back. Then in 2021, for the crime of running at large, I landed in an animal shelter in the DC metropolitan area. Where my sister is and why I was running at large are unknown. I then came to Pet Harbor.

More About Me: My name is Hunter. I’m running for vice president or vice governor or vice something. I’m not presidential or gubernatorial. I’m a 2nd-in-command type. Well, I’m a president-wannabe. I used to not mind following a strong leader either, but now I will protest. I’m an outstanding vice captain, if I do say so myself. Maybe I’m the only one who says it. I love to play. I’m pretty cool & know some commands. Sometimes I even listen. My foster mom has been trying to get a video of me playing with other dogs but hasn’t been able to do so yet. She wants you to see how I love to play.

The one big thing you will need to understand about me is my grooming needs. If you like brushing dogs, I’m the one for you! Maybe you liked brushing the hair of Barbie dolls when you were young. I’m the adult version of the Barbie hair! And don’t I look grand and majestic when I am beautifully groomed? I’m royalty I tell you . . . or at least presidential.

I’m a happy boy, comical, loving, all of those things everybody seeks. Bend down so I can give you a kiss or I’ll come up to you! Either way suits me fine.

Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor was told I am good with cats. On August 9, Pet Harbor introduced me to cats. I looked at them but paid little attention. Since then, I have chased two walking or running cats. History:
Pet Harbor got me from a Virginia animal shelter. I was relinquished to that shelter when my humans were moving & decided they could not take me. They indicated I was 1.5 years old & they had me a year, having gotten me from Facebook Marketplace. We don’t know how much, if any, of that story is correct, but we can tell you for sure one part is incorrect. It turns out I was microchipped already. It turns out I am 6 years old, not 1.5. Apparently I lived in Delaware and my owner at that time reported me missing. I ended up in a Delaware shelter in 2020 as a stray. My owner then was contacted and never responded. So my story gets around!

More About Me: Someone told me it’s almost election season again. Sounds perfect to me since I love to talk (and talk and talk). I’m a great communicator. So why shouldn’t I run for office? I can kiss all the babies with the best of them. I have charisma. I can entertain everyone. Plus, I’m a good listener. I promise to work on a recycling program. I can easily recycle many items into some pretty decent chew toys! And, boy, do I love toys. I cannot promise not to increase taxes, but I can promise to reroute some of the budget to not only toys but also dogbeds. See, I’m all about playtime, love time, sleep time, wash, rinse, and repeat. So dogbeds and toys are essential components. Elect me, and I promise to invite you to my siestas or even to play with me. If I don’t win the election, it’s okay. I have a backup job as a pillow inspector. I will get right down to inspecting the microscopic fluff in mere nanoseconds. Check out my videos and see where I hide my toys. Truth be told, I’m really not a politician. I’m really a puppy, a super sweet puppy.

Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children up to age 14 and have been great with them. I even sleep with one of the children, uncrated, without any issues. So far, I haven’t given kisses, but once I’m more sure of things, that may happen.
Experience with Cats:
I am homeless because I ended the life of a neighbor’s cat. Kitties are not safe around many Siberian huskies, including me.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor was told I lived with another dog. I did well at the shelter with other dogs. In my foster home, things have been great with the other dogs & me. Male and female Siberian huskies live in my foster home. I even play with one of them.

History:
My “owners” put me in an animal shelter because I ended the life of a neighbor’s cat. I was pretty matted. Sadly, I am now shaved. Please don’t shave Siberian huskies. Shaving can cause them many issues. From the shelter, I came to Pet Harbor.

More About Me: More info to come. I am a sweetheart, but I have a bit of shyness, probably because I don’t understand why I lost my home & family when all I did is be true to my breed.

Siberian huskies can be pretty dramatic. Things I have made clear are my dislike of crates, being pulled by my collar, and wearing an Elizabethan collar. I was making a sore bleed by licking it. Yes, I’m going to the vet in a few days. My foster parents put the “cone of shame” on me, and I have shunned them since. The look on my face towards them is priceless!

My foster family picked Michael Selves to be the 9/11 victim for whom I was named. What an honor. He sure sounds like a great, great man. However, Pet Harbor pronounces my name like Elvis because I have these sideburns that remind everybody of The King. However, I am much more than a hound dog.

Neutered male Siberian husky

Weight:
46 pounds (as of 5/10/2021)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met quite a few children, ranging in age from about 6-12. I give them lots of kisses, am very sweet to them, and let them know when they aren’t giving me enough cuddles! Of course, as one would expect with a young, energetic Siberian, I also jump up on them. I say it’s to get hugs!
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor was told I have no history with cats. The shelter from which I came indicated when they introduced me to cats, I showed a strong interest in the cats, not in a good way. Pet Harbor has introduced me to cats. I show way too much interest in them. Of course, outside cats are fair game. So a Siberian’s reaction to outside cats is not a fair gauge, but I did take a chunk of fur from an outside kitty. Siberian Huskies tend to have a strong prey instinct and often show extreme, even fatal, aggression towards cats. Even if our evaluation is favorable, it may not translate to all cats under all circumstances.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor was told I lived with other dogs in my most recent home. I had that home 6 months. We don’t know prior history. The shelter from which I came introduced me to dogs, and the interaction was great. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have been very playful with my foster siblings, male and female Siberian huskies. In fact, I am pretty bonded to dogs. The best home for me has another dog around my size and energy level. My play style is very much that of a Siberian husky (pull on necks, etc.) that other breeds don’t always understand.

Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. Pet Harbor introduced me to cats. I demonstrated a high prey drive. I nipped at kitty and tried to chase. Later, I got into a tangle with an outside cat. Please understand outside cats are prey to many Siberians. Pet Harbor will not let me live in a home with kitties.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with dogs. The shelter from which I came indicated when they introduced me to dogs, the interaction was great. History:
My “owners” put me in an animal shelter. They indicated the reason was I am hyper & mouth (use my mouth in play). Pet Harbor cannot understand why someone would get a Siberian husky if they wanted a dog who isn’t hyper. This breed, especially the younger ones, is known for being full of energy! Please know the breed before you adopt! From the shelter, I came to Pet Harbor.

More About Me: Check out my videos! They show you most of my personality except I’m a dancer. My foster mom & I slow dance. I don’t think the videos show that, but we do! Rise & shine! That’s what I like to tell my foster parents every morning. Did you hear me? Every. Every single morning. Every. Single. Morning. Not for Halloween but for everyday life, I serve as an alarm clock. I howl to wake up my foster parents. Then I jump onto the bed. Then I jump onto my foster mom. So she doesn’t want to wake up. So what am I supposed to do? I have to get her attention. So I pounce on her body. She wakes up. Mission accomplished! My favorite food is food, all things food. My favorite pastime is searching for buried treasure. What else could one find in the trashcans? My second favorite thing is children. I’m really sweet & loving except to tasty felines or small dogs. I’ve been really gentle with all of the children I’ve met, and I’ve met them as little as age 3. They’re just so super cool!
