Age:
1-1/2 years old
Birthday:
July 6, 2018
What am I?
Spayed female Siberian Husky
Colors:
Black & white, blue eyes
Weight:
35 pounds (as of 9/2/19)
Experience with Children:
So far the children I have met have been my buddies, but loud noises and swift movements cause me hesitation. I am cautious around people, but it helps that children are closer to my height. It is also a tremendous help when there is another dog nearby.
Experience with Cats:
Info to come.
Experience with Dogs:
When introduced to other Siberians in my foster home, I couldn’t get enough of them. The best home for me will have at least one other dog around my size. The “shell” under which I hide tends to relax a bit when there is another dog. In them, I find comfort.
Energy Level:
Medium-High
Owner Aptitude Level:
other
Named for 9/11 Victim:
History:
I was put into a shelter by my owner, whose landlord/father booted us.
Movies:
  • Maybe I will and Maybe I won’t.
  •

More About Me: The cutest tail wag in the universe. That’s what I have. It’s a good complement to my sweetness. Soft & sweet. I make you want to wrap me in a blanket to cuddle me like a baby. I have a shyness I need to overcome. Once I get into a stable home, that should be the place it starts. My beginnings have brought me to this place where I find trusting difficult. When people approach me, I turn and run. But if the people are accompanied by a dog, I will cautiously go towards them. Dogs are what will bring me out of my shell, which is why Pet Harbor believes the best home for me will be where at least one other dog around my size lives. As for house manners, if I know them, I have trouble using them. I have more important things on my mind. My focus is on trying to feel secure. Maybe you are the person who can help me?

    What am I?
    Neutered male Siberian Husky
    Colors:
    Black & white, blue eyes
    Weight:
    51 pounds (as of 12/13/19)
    Experience with Children:
12/30/19, Pet Harbor introduced me to a 3yo child. I didn’t really interact with her, but I didn’t mind that she was there. She walked me from one room to the next using my collar. I didn’t mind.
    Experience with Cats:
12/30/19, Pet Harbor introduced me to cats. I didn’t mind that they were there or when they ran. I paid no attention to them. Siberian Huskies tend to have a strong prey instinct and often show extreme, even fatal, aggression towards cats. While I did not display aggression towards the cats mentioned here, that may not translate to all cats under all circumstances.
    Experience with Dogs:
When introduced to a dog at the shelter, I was friendly and relaxed with him. On 12/30/19, when Pet Harbor introduced me to a male Siberian, I played with him a lot. Wore me out, & I slept well. When introduced to a group of dogs, all Siberians, I played nonstop. I am in my element with other dogs. The best home for me will have another dog around my energy level & size.
    Energy Level:
    Medium-High
    Owner Aptitude Level:
    Northern breed experience preferred
    Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Marcus R. Neblett.
    History:
My former “owners” surrendered me to a county animal shelter. The reason they listed was “No time.”

More About Me: Ever heard of a dogs’ dog or a people’s dog? Dogs that are “people’s dogs” focus on people and don’t care if other dogs are about or not. Dogs that are “dogs’ dogs” focus on other dogs and don’t care if people are about or not. When I’m where other dogs aren’t, I pace until I can be with them. Dogs. They’re the cat’s meow. Pun intended. Once I’m with them, it’s all roses. All Siberians need a job. Perhaps mine should be that of a minister. Leading a congregation of Siberians sounds like a dream come true to me.

    Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor was told I am great with other dogs. In my foster home, being with the other dogs (except the males who act like roosters) is fine, but being with humans is what I really want.

More About Me: As good as I am handsome. In the Goldilocks story, I’d be the one who is just right. Just the right level of playfulness, just the right amount of soft kisses, just the perfect energy level. Everything. Not too hard, not too soft, not too energetic, not too lazy. Just right. Ready for a Siberian pup who is just right? Have a cat-free home? I’m ready to go with you! Please don’t forget the porridge!

    What am I?
    Spayed female Siberian Husky
    Colors:
    Red & white, blue eyes
    Weight:
    45 pounds (as of 11/23/19)
    Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor was told in my former home, I lived with children of various ages and, although great with them, had an energy level too high for them. In my foster home, I have met children of all ages and have interacted perfectly with them. Yes, my energy level is high, exactly what would be expected of a Siberian my age.
    Experience with Cats:
On 12/13/19, Pet Harbor introduced me to a cat. I was friendly with the kitty until she ran. Then all bets were off & I went after her as a Grinch. My home, therefore, must be cat-free.
    Experience with Dogs:
In my first foster home, I played with other Siberians for hours daily and cried when separated from them. The best home for me likely has another dog of similar energy and playfulness levels.
    Energy Level:
    High
    Owner Aptitude Level:
    Young Northern breed experience required
    Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Thierry Saada.
    History:
I was surrendered to an animal shelter “Because she is too wild/too much energy for young children.” In other words, I was surrendered because I am a young Siberian, as simple as that. From there, I came to Pet Harbor.
    Movies:
    1. 11/23/19 – Hi, I’m Saada!
    2. 1/11/20 – Toy, toy, toy!
    3. 1/11/20 – I’m so cuddly

More About Me: Bubbling over with kisses I am. I have lots of love to give. I also have loads of energy. I can fly around a room with the greatest of ease. Hopefully there is no speed limit. When I land, it is likely to be in your lap! Cuddling is my favorite activity. Sweet, playful, full of fun and love. What more could you possibly want? So do you have another pup to be my companion? I need plenty of exercise. So are you ready to provide that? Can you handle all of my love, kisses, & energy? If so, let’s go home!

    Experience with Children:
At this time, Pet Harbor’s experience with me is sudden movements & noises frighten me. I am progressing in my foster parents’ attempt to combat my shyness.
Rowdy children might reverse that trend.
    Experience with Cats:
    Information coming soon.
    Experience with Dogs:
Since Pet Harbor has known of my existence, all of my interactions with other dogs have been positive. Life prior to that is unknown. Fergus, the other dog in my foster home, also available for adoption, and I have bonded pretty quickly. We do not have to be adopted together, but my home should have at least one other dog around my size from whom I can continue learning how to overcome my shyness.

More About Me: The one major thing to learn about me is my shyness. Rewards are immense when a shy dog trusts, but the journey to that point is taken by people who are kind, patient, knowledgeable, and understanding. More info coming soon.
