- 9/1/19 – Let’s play fetch!
- 9/1/19 – A quick walk
- 9/1/19 – Can I please just have my bone?
- 9/1/19 – Part of my dog eval
- 9/1/19 – That toy looks fun!
- 9/1/19 – Ball, ball, ball!
- 9/1/19 – I think I like her
- 9/2/19 – Hi, nice to meet you!
More About Me: Oh, boy, can I play! And do I ever! I believe I hold the world’s record for the fastest destruction of a rubber ball ever! Whether Guinness agrees with me or not, I neither know nor care because I can always find another world’s record to win if not that one! I like to pounce, jump, toss, and just be happy. I love to run & play with other dogs, male & female alike. I am a sweetie as well. I might take a kissing break or two, but if I spy a toy, please forgive me if I abandon you in pursuit of tons of fun! Oh, I could stand to lose a few pounds, but, remember, I love running & twirling, a.k.a. calorie burning!

- 9/24/19 – Nice to meet you… now play with me!
- 9/23/19 – A little evening play
- 9/1/19 – Where are we going?
- 9/1/19 – Toys, toys, toys!
More About Me: First, I need a family who will understand me. My history should give you an indication of how special I am. Then there is the fact that I have one ear. I hear just fine, thank you. How did I lose my ear? Well, that is certainly the $64,000 question. My rescuers were told a wild animal, like a bear or coyote, took it. The vet agreed that is how it looks. Pet Harbor believes it odd that a wild animal would take just one ear and be done. It really doesn’t matter. It’s gone, and it is part of my charm. So here I was chained and having lost an ear and living in a doghouse that was bee-infested. And I was only ONE year old. Thankfully Dogs Deserve Better Blue Ridge rescued me before I had to spend a long life that way. DDB transferred me to Pet Harbor because I am, well, a Siberian Husky. The first couple of days at Pet Harbor, I was painfully shy, afraid of everybody and everything. After a few days, I transitioned. Now I am everybody’s best friend. I run and play and jump and give & get affection. My socialization never happened. So my interactions with others sometimes is awkward. It is important my new family understands me. They have to allow me adjustment time. After I get through those days, I will reward them in spades or maybe soft slurps. So if you are a special person ready for a special girl, I’m ready for you.

Dam: Luna Star II
More About Me: I’m a hippie. Just because I wasn’t born in the 1970s doesn’t mean I can’t be a hippie. History does repeat itself, you know. I can pass out flowers and love with the best of them. Cool, man, cool. I’m a follower, not a leader. I’m a big galoot, but I also listen really well. And, like many hippies, I’m an absolute sweetheart. So how about it? Don’t worry! Be happy! Be happy with Roger!

- 7/17/19 – Play With Me!
- 7/8/19 – With foster brothers Buckley (right) and Barney (formerly Pet Harbor’s Buckley & Spitz), I star (center) in Three-Dog Night!
- 7/8/19 – Soaking Up Lovin’!
- 7/17/19 – Siberians need a job. I am a referee.
- 7/17/19 – Smart lady I am. I always go to the highest perch to be above!
- 6/29/19 – Do I know you?
More About Me: Must. Have. Throne. I prefer the highest perch. Wherever I have to climb to get it, I’m in! Dining room tables make great sofas. When I first got to Pet Harbor, I was afraid. A week later, well, just check out my videos, and you’ll see. Having another dog around my size in my family would be wonderful! See me play with my foster brothers in the videos. Once I start dropping my fear, I will be in love with you and you will be in love with me. My goal then is to be with my human people & canine people. I have quite a bit to say, and I am playful as well. And, to boot, am I not a cutie patootie?

- 7/27/19 – Playtime Grand Finale is to be so happy you knock over the camera person!
- 7/1/19 – Oh, it’s playtime!
- 7/1/19 – Let’s take it outside!
- 7/5/19 – Getting my fiber!
More About Me: Ants. Yes, ants. I have ants in my pants. Sitting still is certainly not in my repertoire. Who wants a statue husky? That would be beneath me! Causing trouble, on the other hand, is not beneath me! If it exists, it’s an invitation, right? I can get into it? Right? Furniture, countertops, shelves, etc., are not obstacles. These are things to explore and climb. Everyone knows that that’s where you find the best stuff to play with. And nothing will hold me. I can and do chew my way through everything. After all, I am a Siberian Husky puppy, and isn’t that what you expect from a Siberian Husky puppy? Besides, exercise is good. Everything needs exercised. No toy, leash, or shoe gets a reprieve from my “exercising” it! A typical day for me starts off by waking up for sunrise wrestling practice with my favorite Uncle Parker followed by nonstop cycles of eating, napping, and more playing. About my shyness/fear, with a bit of work (attention, love, training, continuing what my foster parents have started), I am going to be a fantastic dog. I am significantly more comfortable and at ease outside in the yard than in the house. For instance, outside, a set of steps doesn’t need a second thought. Inside, however, a staircase requires careful consideration and caution. Likewise, people in the yard are probably friendly, but inside the house, that same person might be dangerous and should not be immediately trusted. I am fairly vocal. The more comfortable I get, the more increasingly quick I am to bark or howl my little head off to let you know when I am unhappy or need more chewies. I take all of my cues from Uncle Parker (also available for adoption). So if you get him to do something you want him to do, I am usually quick to follow suit. The best home for me will have at least one other dog around my size or adopt Uncle Parker, too! One more thing – I am a foodie and haven’t met a treat yet that I don’t like. Luckily for me (teehee), Uncle Parker usually drops any treats he is offered. So I have learned to scoop in quickly and snag them for myself. Oh, one last thing. I like “dens.” I like to crawl into tight spaces to explore, hide, play, etc., but I can do without those things humans call crates. So if you are looking for a puppy who is animated, needs a bit of work, and will reward you in spades, I’m your gal!

***In Heartworm Treatment***
- 7/1/19 – Oh, it’s playtime!
- 7/1/19 – Let’s take it outside!
- 7/5/19 – Don’t mind me, I’m just wandering…
More About Me: My favorite thing to do is canoe. Water? Who said anything about water? I just need a canoe. All kidding aside, furniture, countertops, shelves, these are not obstacles. These are things to explore and climb up on. Everyone knows that that’s where you find the best stuff to play with. Okay. Seriously this time, all kidding aside, what I really crave is love and attention, not countertops and canoes. People. Love. Attention. Even though I am still a young pup at heart, that is, quick to play and just as quick to get into trouble. A little reserved around new people/places for a day or so but generally a pretty happy, friendly dog. With a bit of work (attention, love, training, continuing what my foster parents have started), I am going to be a fantastic dog. One way to get my attention is brushing. I enjoy that! If my new family is found and they can get me to my doctor appointments, they can foster me until I am finished with heartworm treatment and then adopt me. So how about it? Ready for a fantastic mate-to-be and have you got lots of love for me and maybe a canoe?

- 6/29/19 – Let’s play ball!
More About Me: Oh, I am so cute and cuddly. Like Charmin, you just have to squeeze. And when people see what has happened to my ears, they hug me even closer. And I soak it all up. Keep the hugs and squeezes a-comin’! I’m a small boy and I fit right in with children and dogs, too. Because of my history, I do have a touch of shyness, but it’s only a touch. I’ve got soft kisses & love for a family who gives it back to me. I’ll give it in triplicate. How’s that? I am playful, too, but mostly I want love. I’m learning what toys are. My foster mom says I need training. You can put me through training if you agree with her, but I think what I need is just love. If you happen to enjoy grooming, I’m the perfect dog for you since my coat was in such bad shape and it will take a while to get it healthy. My heartworm treatment has been completed and I can go to a new home now! So ever wanted squeezably soft Charmin?

- 6/21/19 – With my girl Piedra, Wiggle Waggle!
- 6/21/19 – Just the Right Spot!
- 6/29/19 – A little Stranger Danger
- 6/29/19 – Visiting my puppy friends!
More About Me: Soft and fluffy. As beautiful as can be. And shy. Other dogs are fine. Humans frighten me. I really want to be with them, though. It’s like at 7 years old, I am learning life. The best home for me has at least one other dog and patient, quiet humans. If I hear a loud noise, I will run behind furniture to get away from the scary noise that I think could come after me. Once I am shown I am not going to get hurt, I will give you soft kisses. See? I am going to be a great, loving dog. Just need someone to spend time with me, understand me, and assure me everything will be okay. And did you know the rewards for working with a dog who has some shyness are immense? They are. Let me show you.

- 6/21/19 – With my girl Joon, Wiggle Waggle!
- 6/23/19 – I’m the favorite auntie!
More About Me: Please note it is difficult for one person to take my picture as I am trying to get into the person’s lap under the camera! Though I am a Siberian and will, true to my breed, leave town on the first thing smokin’, I am also content to be lounging with my people. You will see in the videos, the little girl in my foster home calls my Auntie. That’s her nickname for me. I don’t care what she calls me as long as she calls me! A truly happy dog, I never stop smiling or being full of the joy behind the smile. I will play games with other dogs, and I enjoy them, but, really, I want to be with people. After we snuggle and watch some TV and maybe eat a bit of popcorn, they will go to sleep. And that’s when I can bring out the mischief. Hope you didn’t really like that pillow.
