More About Me: When I first came to Pet Harbor, I was afraid. Now that I’ve seen the light of day (literally), experienced love, and gotten healthy & clean, I have come out of my fur. (I don’t have a shell.) My foster mom truly turned us around. “Us” is Nya, who likely is my daughter; and me. Nya already found her home. You will see it is difficult to capture videos of me because I want to be up close & personal with the photographer. So we have lots of footage of closeups of my nose! Maybe we can have a conversation over an imaginary cup of tea because I LOVE to talk and have lots to say! A good thing to know about me is I’m a determined athlete. I will climb and have climbed an 8′ fence to get to what I want. Wanna climb Mount Everest with me? Another thing you should understand about me is my beginnings. They were extremely rough. Basically I lived in a shack with Nya. There were over 20 dogs on the property, but in my shack lived Nya and me. We lived in our excrement. How were we fed? Who knows? How did we see humans? We didn’t. You see, when we were rescued, a wall had to be taken down in order for us to be reached. So nobody knows how long we were that way. Do you know the movies and videos where people live in jungles and then learn to be people when they escape the jungle? That’s Nya and me. That means we were primitive. It also means we are extraordinarily grateful. It took multiple baths and a great groomer to even find out our coat color. And our foster mom has been amazing and really has brought us kindly into the world of understanding humans are safe. Now we’re soaking up the love. I love people. I’m making up for all the time I lost not being near them. I especially love children! They’re super cool! It’s rather easy to train me as I am food- and toy-motivated! Something else I love is riding in the car with my face in the wind. When I first came to Pet Harbor, I didn’t play with the other dogs. Naturally, I had no confidence in that area. Again my wonderful foster mom has helped me immensely, and now I will play with other dogs. All I really need is a permanent home and people I can call my own. So if you’re the wonderful family for me, I’m so happy. Just be sure, please, because I want my next stop to be my last and the place I achieve true tranquility.

More About Me: When I first came to Pet Harbor, I was afraid. Now that I’ve seen the light of day (literally), experienced love, and gotten healthy & clean, I have come out of my fur somewhat. (I don’t have a shell.) My foster mom has truly turned us around. “Us” is Celeste, who likely is my mother; and me. I’ve learned to become a dog so well I will eat your remote control if you let me! I am still somewhat shy & hesitant, but I have made great strides. Warming up to people takes me a bit of time, but, oh, the rewards for the people! I love to be rubbed. I’m making up for lost time. Though I didn’t do it at first, now I sit on the couch with my foster mom to get as much loving as possible. Again making up for lost time, I do have some puppy behaviors, such as chewing things. A good thing to know about me is I’m a determined athlete. I will climb and have climbed an 8′ fence to get to what I want. Wanna climb Mount Everest with me? Another thing you should understand about me is my beginnings. They were extremely rough. Basically I lived in a shack with Celeste. There were over 20 dogs on the property, but in my shack lived Celeste and me. That’s Celeste and me. That means we were primitive. It also means we are extraordinarily grateful. It took multiple baths and a great groomer to even find out our coat color. And our foster mom has been amazing and really has brought us kindly into the world of understanding humans are safe. Now we’re soaking up the love. All Celeste & I really need is permanent homes. Well, Pet Harbor thought Celeste and I should be separated, but now that they have separated us, we are grieving the missing bond. But what we really need is homes and families, whether that is together or apart. People we can call our own. So if you’re the wonderful family for me, I’m so happy. Just be sure, please, because I want my next stop to be my last and the place I achieve true tranquility.

More About Me: My foster mom calls me “Hemi” for short. So my foster sister Sibelle (formerly Pet Harbor’s Angell) really needs a boyfriend. She thinks that is my mission in life. Every foster dog who comes here she believes is here just for her. But me, when I got here, I preferred playing with Boris, my foster brother. Let’s not tell Sibelle, but the truth is I was playing hard to get. If you tell her, I’ll never hear the end of it. You will see in the videos how hard she tries to get my attention. Eventually I did let her think she did, but I really had my eye on her from the start. I’m a super happy boy. I love all people. When my medical stuff happened, I had to change foster homes temporarily. I haven’t been wonderful with the dogs in my new foster home. I have actually really enjoyed being special and not having to put up with other dogs. Sometimes I will play with them, but most of the time, I just tell them I’m the boss. Children in my temporary foster home absolutely adore me and I them.

- 8/26/2020 – Just Wanna Play!
More About Me: Happiness. That’s the best word to describe me. I’m never anything other than happy. Always happy! Sweet, loving, playful, happy. In my foster home, I have been great with everything: people, cats, dogs. And did I mention I’m happy? Coronavirus might keep some people unhappy, but they won’t be unhappy long if they spend just a small amount of time with me. What more could you possibly want in 2020? Another candidate? No thank you! I’ll be glad when election season is over. I just want everybody to be happy again, no more fighting! If you’re interested in me, you must make sure you have researched just what a Siberian Husky is. I’ve lost at least one home already. So the next one must be my last one. Just as you would with children, you must be willing to work through whatever issues come up. If you’re not ready for that, please don’t apply to adopt. If you are ready, though, that’s fantastic!

- 8/2020 – Sweetie
More About Me: Tiny & puppified. I am all puppy. Yes, I know my age is put at 3. My teeth say 3, but my energy level says puppy. I am super playful, happy, loving, sweet, and am full of energy. Did I mention loving? Let me try that again. I am super loving, playful, happy, sweet, and am full of energy. There. That’s better. Put the loving first because that’s what I do. I really am a powerhouse. Not much meat on my bones, but that doesn’t affect my strength & energy one tiny bit. You will be the recipient of my loving. If you are tall, I will jump up. If you sit, I will fly into your lap. I must plant my kisses!

***In Heartworm Treatment***
- 8/26/2020 – A Kitty? Yawn.
- 8/11/2020 – Just a Day in a Shelter
- 8/11/2020 – Meeting Other Dogs
More About Me: Just about the best all-around dog in the world. I am happy, waggy, mellow, grateful, and loving. Someone didn’t take good care of me. My coat is in poor shape, and I have been groomed once so far, although that’s not enough. Also, I have flystrike on my ears. Though my history isn’t known, a story can be created from what is known. In addition to my poor coat and health issues, I am so grateful and happy that it appears I was neglected. I tested positive for heartworm disease and the presence of Ehrlichia. I’m so sweet and gentle, as quiet as a churchmouse. My foster mom is crazy in love with me. If you are looking for a Siberian who isn’t crazy full of energy and you just want to love on me, I’m the one for you. If you do not want a kissy Siberian, then I’m also the one for you. My foster grandma thinks I’m a dream to walk also.
Please note I am in heartworm treatment and will be able to be formally adopted soon, but don’t let that stop you from applying to adopt from Pet Harbor now! If I’m the right one for you, the date won’t matter. And if I’m the right one for you, you can foster me until I am finished with treatment and then adopt me if you can get me to my doctor appointments.

- 8/26/2020 – Showdown
More About Me: A comical, happy, playful Siberian who gets into trouble, is full of energy, & does many things that make you laugh. I’m kind of what people think of when they think of a Siberian: handsome, loving, and full of fun. Example: Within 5 minutes of first exploring the yard at my foster home, I became unrecognizably mud-covered. So maybe the idea is I get the last laugh. Wanna bring me into your family & try to get the last laugh yourself? We’ll see who wins! Oh, really, it doesn’t matter because, even if you win, I’ll quickly do something else comical to make you give me back the trophy or I will shower you with so much love you will forget you even won!

- 10/3/2020 – The Nose Knows
- 8/26/2020 – Happy Hour
- 8/20/2020 – Jumping for Joy
More About Me: My prior foster pop says I’m an easy keeper. I’m a cool dude. Some think I’m strong. Some think I’m a marshmallow. I had two foster brothers. They are Siberians. One of them is the Boss. I tried to walk into the bedroom. He growled. So I turned and walked away. However, once I had been there a couple of weeks, I decided to tell him I’m the Boss. So the best home for me is where other male dogs aren’t going to challenge me. Now I am in another foster home. Micci, who was also available for adoption, was my best friend. We played & played & played & played. Then she got adopted. Now my best friend is a little Siberian puppy named Zoi. We play & play & play & play. I love toys and air conditioning, and I give children soft kisses! Yep. It’s true. I am a big marshmallow.

- 8/16/2020 – Play Ball!
- 8/16/2020 – The Toy
- 8/06/2020 – Dianne Makes Friends
More About Me: The first thing you should know about me is I am all puppy with all that entails! Never a dull moment. If it’s there, I’m in it. Second thing you should know, I’ll shower you with more love & kisses than you could possibly desire in an effort to forgive whatever I just did. And, the third main ingredient that stirs together to make Dianne is I love — did I say LOVE loudly enough? — water. Yes, I LOVE playing in water. I will go to great lengths to find bodies of water. As with all good Siberians, I do have an occupation. I am a toy surgeon. I perform surgery on toys. I remove all of their guts. Thankfully, they’re not bloody! Oh, and I do have a secret. My foster mom says one of the most beautiful sights she has ever seen in her entire life is watching me run. It’s picturesque, she says, whatever that means. I really don’t care what words mean as long as I have three things: people to love, water, and toys. Simple gal, aren’t I? If you’re interested in me, you must make sure you have researched just what a Siberian Husky is. I’ve lost at least one home already. So the next one must be my last one. - 9/5/2020 – I MUST have my Morning Walk!
More About Me: Polite and kind. Well-mannered. You could take me to the country club for dinner. I’ll behave. I do have one demand. I MUST have two walks a day: AM & PM. And if I don’t get them, you will quickly know. I will stand in your face and whine until I get them. Okay. Maybe I should rephrase. As long as I get my two walks, I am polite, kind, and well-mannered. Check out my video, and you will see & hear me politely request my morning walk! I’m not super confident. I am slow to warm up to new things and am easily distracted. Not big on kissing. I’m too refined for that. Well, most of the time. I do have a side of me that’s immense fun. That’s because I get a case of the zoomies and will run and run and run around a fenced yard, playing “Gotcha!” and “Keep away!” I’m also content to play with toys alone. So if you ask me, I’m pretty adaptable. My foster mom says I’m an easy keeper . . . as long as I get my two daily walks!
