What am I?
Spayed female Siberian husky
Colors:
White, brown eyes
Weight:
42 pounds (as of 9/28/20)
Experience with Children:
Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met many children. I really enjoy them petting me & giving me hugs.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I live in a foster home with kitties. At first, I focused my attention on them, but when my foster mom told me to stop, my attention was easily diverted. Now I have been fine with kitties, so fine that I will even let the kitty in my foster home each from my bowl. At first, I stalked outdoor kitties. Now I watch them, but I don’t stalk them. They can come close to me and even rest with me, but when they play, I think it’s TV. So, of course, I have to pay attention. My foster mom does separate kitty from me when she leaves the house, but all people who care about their pets really should do that. After all, we are animals, family members but still animals.
Experience with Dogs:
I lived with Nya (who found her home) prior to coming to Pet Harbor. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met other dogs and am fostered with other dogs. At first, I really didn’t care about them. Now I play with them. People are what I call treasures, though. I love them. I have not met small dogs.
Energy Level:
Medium-Low
Owner Aptitude Level:
Experience required
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Celeste Torres Victoria.
History:
Along with Nya, who might be my daughter and was adopted from Pet Harbor Rescue, I was confiscated by animal control from a horrible situation where a wall had to be torn down to even get us free. There were over 20 dogs there. All were confiscated. We had to learn how to be dogs.

  16. 8/31/2020 – Soakin’ up the Lovin’
  17. 8/15/2020 – Nya & I are fascinated by TV Animals. I am the one talking to and sniffing the television.

More About Me: When I first came to Pet Harbor, I was afraid. Now that I’ve seen the light of day (literally), experienced love, and gotten healthy & clean, I have come out of my fur. (I don’t have a shell.) My foster mom truly turned us around. “Us” is Nya, who likely is my daughter; and me. Nya already found her home. You will see it is difficult to capture videos of me because I want to be up close & personal with the photographer. So we have lots of footage of closeups of my nose! Maybe we can have a conversation over an imaginary cup of tea because I LOVE to talk and have lots to say! A good thing to know about me is I’m a determined athlete. I will climb and have climbed an 8′ fence to get to what I want. Wanna climb Mount Everest with me? Another thing you should understand about me is my beginnings. They were extremely rough. Basically I lived in a shack with Nya. There were over 20 dogs on the property, but in my shack lived Nya and me. We lived in our excrement. How were we fed? Who knows? How did we see humans? We didn’t. You see, when we were rescued, a wall had to be taken down in order for us to be reached. So nobody knows how long we were that way. Do you know the movies and videos where people live in jungles and then learn to be people when they escape the jungle? That’s Nya and me. That means we were primitive. It also means we are extraordinarily grateful. It took multiple baths and a great groomer to even find out our coat color. And our foster mom has been amazing and really has brought us kindly into the world of understanding humans are safe. Now we’re soaking up the love. I love people. I’m making up for all the time I lost not being near them. I especially love children! They’re super cool! It’s rather easy to train me as I am food- and toy-motivated! Something else I love is riding in the car with my face in the wind. When I first came to Pet Harbor, I didn’t play with the other dogs. Naturally, I had no confidence in that area. Again my wonderful foster mom has helped me immensely, and now I will play with other dogs. All I really need is a permanent home and people I can call my own. So if you’re the wonderful family for me, I’m so happy. Just be sure, please, because I want my next stop to be my last and the place I achieve true tranquility.

What am I?
Spayed female Siberian husky
Colors:
White, blue eyes
Weight:
50 pounds (as of 9/28/20)
Experience with Children:
Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children and enjoyed them petting me & giving me hugs.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I live in a foster home with kitties. I ignore them until they rub against me. Then I just move out of their way. Siberian Huskies tend to have a strong prey instinct and often show extreme, even fatal, aggression towards cats. Even if our evaluation is favorable, it may not translate to all cats under all circumstances.
Experience with Dogs:
I lived with Celeste (also available for adoption) prior to coming to Pet Harbor. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met other dogs and am fostered with other dogs. I have been great with them all. In fact, another dog is required in my home. Because of our beginnings, I need that security blanket another dog provides. I am pretty bonded to Celeste, who probably is my mother, but, really, we just need homes. If that means we have to separate, we have to separate. We just need homes & families of our own.

More About Me: When I first came to Pet Harbor, I was afraid. Now that I’ve seen the light of day (literally), experienced love, and gotten healthy & clean, I have come out of my fur somewhat. (I don’t have a shell.) My foster mom has truly turned us around. “Us” is Celeste, who likely is my mother; and me. I’ve learned to become a dog so well I will eat your remote control if you let me! I am still somewhat shy & hesitant, but I have made great strides. Warming up to people takes me a bit of time, but, oh, the rewards for the people! I love to be rubbed. I’m making up for lost time. Though I didn’t do it at first, now I sit on the couch with my foster mom to get as much loving as possible. Again making up for lost time, I do have some puppy behaviors, such as chewing things. A good thing to know about me is I’m a determined athlete. I will climb and have climbed an 8′ fence to get to what I want. Wanna climb Mount Everest with me? Another thing you should understand about me is my beginnings. They were extremely rough. Basically I lived in a shack with Celeste. And our foster mom has been amazing and really has brought us kindly into the world of understanding humans are safe. Now we’re soaking up the love. All Celeste & I really need is permanent homes. Well, Pet Harbor thought Celeste and I should be separated, but now that they have separated us, we are grieving the missing bond. But what we really need is homes and families, whether that is together or apart. People we can call our own. So if you’re the wonderful family for me, I’m so happy. Just be sure, please, because I want my next stop to be my last and the place I achieve true tranquility.

What am I?
Neutered male Siberian husky
Colors:
Black & white, blue eyes
Weight:
42 pounds (as of 9/15/20)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor was told I lived with children up to age 9 before coming to Pet Harbor and was great with them. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children up to age 7. I have been great with them. I am all puppy and can run at younger children, knocking them down.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. On August 26, 2020, Pet Harbor introduced me to cats. I did my best to find a knife, fork, salt & pepper, and a bit of ketchup. The only way I can live with cats is if they are on a plate.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor was told I lived with Resta, also available for adoption, before coming to Pet Harbor. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met multiple dogs, all around my size. The more time has gone on, I have changed. Some dogs are okay, some are not. I am fine without them. At first, Pet Harbor thought I needed to have another, but now I’d rather be the King. Maybe I’ll be change again. That’s what dogs do.
Energy Level:
High
Owner Aptitude Level:
Young Northern breed experience preferred
Named for 9/11 Victim:
History:
Along with Resta, also available for adoption from Pet Harbor Rescue, I was put into an animal shelter by my former humans. The reason given was “Baby #3.” New baby in, existing fur babies out. From there, I came to Pet Harbor.

  14. 8/26/2020 – Initiation
  15. 8/26/2020 – Boyfriend of the Month Club

More About Me: My foster mom calls me “Hemi” for short. So my foster sister Sibelle (formerly Pet Harbor’s Angell) really needs a boyfriend. She thinks that is my mission in life. Every foster dog who comes here she believes is here just for her. But me, when I got here, I preferred playing with Boris, my foster brother. Let’s not tell Sibelle, but the truth is I was playing hard to get. If you tell her, I’ll never hear the end of it. You will see in the videos how hard she tries to get my attention. Eventually I did let her think she did, but I really had my eye on her from the start. I’m a super happy boy. I love all people. When my medical stuff happened, I had to change foster homes temporarily. I haven’t been wonderful with the dogs in my new foster home. I have actually really enjoyed being special and not having to put up with other dogs. Sometimes I will play with them, but most of the time, I just tell them I’m the boss. Children in my temporary foster home absolutely adore me and I them.

Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. On August 26, 2020, Pet Harbor introduced me to cats. I was submissive to kitties. I had no reaction to kitties near me. Then I wanted to walk down a hall, and a kitty was at the end of the hall. So I turned and walked away. I prefer no sentries in my hallways. (See video below.) More About Me: Happiness. That’s the best word to describe me. I’m never anything other than happy. Always happy! Sweet, loving, playful, happy. In my foster home, I have been great with everything: people, cats, dogs. And did I mention I’m happy? Coronavirus might keep some people unhappy, but they won’t be unhappy long if they spend just a small amount of time with me. What more could you possibly want in 2020? Another candidate? No thank you! I’ll be glad when election season is over. I just want everybody to be happy again, no more fighting! If you’re interested in me, you must make sure you have researched just what a Siberian Husky is. I’ve lost at least one home already. So the next one must be my last one. Just as you would with children, you must be willing to work through whatever issues come up. If you’re not ready for that, please don’t apply to adopt. If you are ready, though, that’s fantastic!

Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children up to age 7. I have been great with them, but very much in their faces with love & kisses & can easily knock over younger ones.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. On August 26, 2020, Pet Harbor introduced me to cats. In the first room, I seemed afraid of them, but when I came into another room and there were children, my hyperness took over. I’m all about puppiness, and my energy level was too much for kitties. So a real introduction couldn’t be had. Siberian Huskies tend to have a strong prey instinct and often show extreme, even fatal, aggression towards cats. Even if our evaluation is favorable, it may not translate to all cats under all circumstances.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with dogs. When introduced to other dogs at the shelter, there were no issues. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met multiple dogs, all around my size. There have been no issues.

Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Lorisa Ceylon Taylor.
History:
I was running at large and landed in an animal shelter. I was not claimed. So I came to Pet Harbor. I got adopted. I lived with another Pet Harbor dog. Well, that Pet Harbor dog was a bully, and I refused to back down to him. Unfortunately, our mom got in the middle of our fight. She’s okay, but it was felt I needed to come back to Pet Harbor so everybody would stay safe.
Movies:
  1. 8/23/2020 – Lorisa Hugs
  2. 8/2020 – Sweetie

More About Me: Tiny & puppified. I am all puppy. Yes, I know my age is put at 3. My teeth say 3, but my energy level says puppy. I am super playful, happy, loving, sweet, and am full of energy. Did I mention loving? Let me try that again. I am super loving, playful, happy, sweet, and am full of energy. There. That’s better. Put the loving first because that’s what I do. I really am a powerhouse. Not much meat on my bones, but that doesn’t affect my strength & energy one tiny bit. You will be the recipient of my loving. If you are tall, I will jump up. If you sit, I will fly into your lap. I must plant my kisses!

What am I?
Neutered male Siberian husky
Colors:
Black & white, blue eyes
Weight:
59.4 pounds (as of 8/25/2020)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children up to age 7. I have been great with them. They adore me because I don’t have hyper energy, but one child wants kisses & I don’t give many kisses. So she keeps trying to teach me the art of kissing.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. On 8/25/2020, Pet Harbor introduced to cats who were in cages when I was taken to be neutered. I was polite with them and easily distracted. On August 26, 2020, Pet Harbor introduced me to cats. I had no reactions at all. See video link below.
There have been no issues except I had to put the annoying one who got in my face in his place. I really prefer people. Dogs I can take or leave.
Energy Level:

Owner Aptitude Level:

Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Bernard E. Patterson.
History:
I was running at large and landed in an animal shelter. I was not claimed. So I came to Pet Harbor.

  2. 8/11/2020 – Just a Day in a Shelter
  3. 8/11/2020 – Meeting Other Dogs

More About Me: Just about the best all-around dog in the world. I am happy, waggy, mellow, grateful, and loving. Someone didn’t take good care of me. My coat is in poor shape, and I have been groomed once so far, although that’s not enough. Also, I have flystrike on my ears. Though my history isn’t known, a story can be created from what is known. In addition to my poor coat and health issues, I am so grateful and happy that it appears I was neglected. I tested positive for heartworm disease and the presence of Ehrlichia. I’m so sweet and gentle, as quiet as a churchmouse. My foster mom is crazy in love with me. If you are looking for a Siberian who isn’t crazy full of energy and you just want to love on me, I’m the one for you. If you do not want a kissy Siberian, then I’m also the one for you. My foster grandma thinks I’m a dream to walk also.

Please note I am in heartworm treatment and will be able to be formally adopted soon, but don’t let that stop you from applying to adopt from Pet Harbor now! If I’m the right one for you, the date won’t matter. And if I’m the right one for you, you can foster me until I am finished with treatment and then adopt me if you can get me to my doctor appointments.

Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. On August 26, 2020, Pet Harbor introduced me to cats. I was interested but easily distracted. I made playful gestures with my paws towards kitty. When I got close to kitty, kitty swatted me. I yelped and backed away. I did bark a lot at kitty, but I also was easily distracted. You can see some of it in the video below. The part where the kitty swatted me is only partially there because you can’t see the cat, but you’ll be able to tell where that point was. After the end of that video, the kitty walked down the hallway. I went after her (on leash). When I got to her, I sniffed her and did nothing else. History:

More About Me: A comical, happy, playful Siberian who gets into trouble, is full of energy, & does many things that make you laugh. I’m kind of what people think of when they think of a Siberian: handsome, loving, and full of fun. Example: Within 5 minutes of first exploring the yard at my foster home, I became unrecognizably mud-covered. So maybe the idea is I get the last laugh. Wanna bring me into your family & try to get the last laugh yourself? We’ll see who wins! Oh, really, it doesn’t matter because, even if you win, I’ll quickly do something else comical to make you give me back the trophy or I will shower you with so much love you will forget you even won!

Weight:
73 pounds (as of 8/30/2020)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children up to age 7. I have been great with them and gave them gentle kisses.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. On 8/24/2020, Pet Harbor introduced me to cats. On that date, I was not yet neutered. When I saw a kitty, I was easily distracted away from kitty and didn’t maintain a strong focus, but I did do that drooling and mouth clicking thing that intact male dogs sometimes do when they see female dogs, especially in season. And kitty was spayed. On 9/22/2020, since I have been neutered now, Pet Harbor introduced me to cats again. They didn’t faze me one bit. I was more interested in the litter box.
When I initially came to Pet Harbor, I met multiple dogs, all around my size. I wanted to play with them. In my prior foster home, there are two other male Siberians, both neutered. We got along great (See videos.) until I decided to establish myself as the pack boss. One of those boys didn’t like my hostile takeover attempt. In my current foster home, I’m fine with the other dogs.

More About Me: My prior foster pop says I’m an easy keeper. I’m a cool dude. Some think I’m strong. Some think I’m a marshmallow. I had two foster brothers. They are Siberians. One of them is the Boss. I tried to walk into the bedroom. He growled. So I turned and walked away. However, once I had been there a couple of weeks, I decided to tell him I’m the Boss. So the best home for me is where other male dogs aren’t going to challenge me. Now I am in another foster home. Micci, who was also available for adoption, was my best friend. We played & played & played & played. Then she got adopted. Now my best friend is a little Siberian puppy named Zoi. We play & play & play & play. I love toys and air conditioning, and I give children soft kisses! Yep. It’s true. I am a big marshmallow.

What am I?
Spayed female Siberian husky
Colors:
Red & white, brown eyes
Weight:
59 pounds (as of 9/15/20)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with children. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met children up to age 7. I have been great with them and really want to play with them.
Experience with Cats:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with cats. On August 26, 2020, Pet Harbor introduced me to cats. My reaction was pretty interesting. I was interested in kitty, but I was also easily distracted. I drooled at a distance, but when I got close to kitty, I backed up. Siberian Huskies tend to have a strong prey instinct and often show extreme, even fatal, aggression towards cats. Even if our evaluation is favorable, it may not translate to all cats under all circumstances.
Experience with Dogs:
Pet Harbor does not know my history with dogs. When introduced to other dogs at the shelter, I was fine after an initial introduction. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have met multiple dogs, all around my size. Initially, I was fine with all of them! Twenty-four hours later, I decided I was going to be mean to the other females (I am not yet spayed.). Then a few days later, I’m back to being wonderful with them all. Every lady is entitled to a bitch session, right?
Energy Level:
High
Owner Aptitude Level:
Northern breed experience preferred
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for Dianne T. Singer.
History:
I was running at large (I was in season at the time.) and landed in an animal shelter. I was not claimed, but it is known who my family was. I am in all probability a littermate to Vincent, also a Pet Harbor dog, who found a home.

More About Me: The first thing you should know about me is I am all puppy with all that entails! Never a dull moment. If it’s there, I’m in it. Second thing you should know, I’ll shower you with more love & kisses than you could possibly desire in an effort to forgive whatever I just did. And, the third main ingredient that stirs together to make Dianne is I love — did I say LOVE loudly enough? — water. Yes, I LOVE playing in water. I will go to great lengths to find bodies of water. As with all good Siberians, I do have an occupation. I am a toy surgeon. I perform surgery on toys. I remove all of their guts. Thankfully, they’re not bloody! Oh, and I do have a secret. My foster mom says one of the most beautiful sights she has ever seen in her entire life is watching me run. It’s picturesque, she says, whatever that means. I really don’t care what words mean as long as I have three things: people to love, water, and toys. Simple gal, aren’t I? If you’re interested in me, you must make sure you have researched just what a Siberian Husky is. I’ve lost at least one home already. So the next one must be my last one. Just as you would with children, you must be willing to work through whatever issues come up. If you’re not ready for that, please don’t apply to adopt. If you are ready, though, that’s fantastic!

What am I?
Neutered male Siberian husky
Colors:
Grey & white, bi-eyed (one blue eye, one brown eye)
Weight:
62 pounds (as of 7/29/20)
Experience with Children:
Pet Harbor was told I previously lived with children with disabilities and was good with them. I am brand new to Pet Harbor, and I have met children up to age 7 since coming here and have been great with them.
Experience with Cats:
Because I have ended a kitty’s life, I certainly cannot live with them.
Experience with Dogs:
I was fine with a dog in an adoptive home before coming to Pet Harbor until I wasn’t. When introduced to dogs at the shelter, I was fine. Since coming to Pet Harbor, I have been fine with the 5 other dogs, all Siberians, I’ve met. When I go for walks, I greet other dogs well and initiate play with about 70% of them. With the other 30%, I growl.
Energy Level:
Medium-High
Owner Aptitude Level:
Novice
Named for 9/11 Victim:
I was named for John "Jack" Andreacchio.
History:
First, I was in a shelter because I was running at large. I then was adopted. They also had a cat. Unfortunately, when kitty ran, I ended kitty’s life. I went back to the shelter. I got adopted again. I was fine with their other dog, also a Siberian, and then I wasn’t. I went back to the shelter. Then I came to Pet Harbor.

  1. 9/5/2020 – I MUST have my Morning Walk!

More About Me: Polite and kind. Well-mannered. You could take me to the country club for dinner. I’ll behave. I do have one demand. I MUST have two walks a day: AM & PM. And if I don’t get them, you will quickly know. I will stand in your face and whine until I get them. Okay. Maybe I should rephrase. As long as I get my two walks, I am polite, kind, and well-mannered. Check out my video, and you will see & hear me politely request my morning walk! I’m not super confident. I am slow to warm up to new things and am easily distracted. Not big on kissing. I’m too refined for that. Well, most of the time. I do have a side of me that’s immense fun. That’s because I get a case of the zoomies and will run and run and run around a fenced yard, playing “Gotcha!” and “Keep away!” I’m also content to play with toys alone. So if you ask me, I’m pretty adaptable. My foster mom says I’m an easy keeper . . . as long as I get my two daily walks!
